One weird trick for getting scrap in storms; park the car in front of a crate, perpendicular to the direction of the debris. This means you can open the crates in relative safety without getting twatted by flying metal.

Another convoy taken down. I decided to capture this one as having a level 5 harpoon meant that it was over rather quickly!

I don't know if it's timing or the type of gaming mood I'm in, but I think this might just be the perfect game for me right now :D

It helps that I've been off work this week, clocked up almost 18 hours already (since getting it last week). Playing time will no doubt be cut right down when I go back on Monday, but it's made for a very enjoyable holiday :)

I'm glad that you're enjoying it, NBK - I just saw your vid on PS4 and that harpoon certainly is quite a weapon!

Also... I've just completed the game! Yep, for the first time since Sonic Boom I have completed a video game :toot: . I don't want to give anything away about the ending so I'll just say that I was totally engrossed by the last few hours; the story really builds up and it's terrific. Kind of...

Loved this game. Bloody loved it.

Awesome work, jawa, glad you enjoyed it so much. I've been surprised by just how much I've been taken with it too, so good.

I've just cleared Jeet's territory of threat and I'm ready to crack open The Jaw. I think I'll spend a bit more time exploring Gutgash's territory first though.

Ah, what a charming name :)

More people enjoying the unfortunately-timed unsung classic from last year? What a lovely day...

Good work, NBK - it's cool to see the differing environments as you gain access to different areas.

I've reached 91% game completion with the story, all missions, all locations and all collectables completed. The remaining stuff is focussed upon the Death Races and collecting all of the vehicles (i.e. by taking them back to a base or by winning them in races). I'm not too keen on the Death Races so I'll probably leave it at this point.

It's great that Trellis, yourself and I enjoyed this so much... it feels like the game has been a kind of underground, "cult" hit :toot: .

Too little too late Jawa...

Imagine if this game had free roam multiplayer like GTA, roaming around with four of us in our own convoy up to no good, it would be brilliant.

Did they ever get round to patching in the ability to reset convoys?

I bought this the other day more or less solely based on Jawa's childlike glee in this thread.

I'm certainly enjoying it, but after really loving Shadows of Mordor I'm getting a little frustrated a few aspects - the collection aspects are even more dull than usual for an open worlder and Max is about as agile as a rusty boat. Still, lovely environment and now I've got a few upgrades for the Magnum Opus I don't feel quite so useless.

Press L3 and R3 together at any point, SoK... the photo mode kicks in and you can pan, zoom and apply various filters. Photo mode is terrific in this game!

I completed this recently, a fun game, but a little too large for its own good. I started just exploring and building up experience etc. but eventually just got a little tired of it all. It did mean that when I attempted the story mission I rattled through them as I was already powerful enough.

It really is a huge game. I can see why some folk would find it a wee bit tiring but it really got me going; I had to find and collect everything. At one time I thought that this could be the first time that I would ever Platinum a game, but the optional racing sections are just too frustrating for me.

Did I mention that it was my Game of the Year in 2015? ("YES - too many times, jawa! Get over it!" - everyone).

Rented this from Boomerang Tuesday and loving it :)

Bit of a slow start for the first few hours but then it really opens up.

This game is underappreciated as hell. It is really solid. I hope it gets a sequel at some point.

This was supposed to be pretty good, right?

I really should get around to watching the film first, though.

Yep, it's a good game and pretty much a bargain at that price, Knoyleo. You don't need to have seen the film to enjoy the game; styling and characters are similar but whichever one you see/play first won't spoil the other.

Given how quickly its been forgotten I doubt that, plus not every good game needs a sequel; how could they follow it without either being accused of recycling/repeating the first game or going too far away from the source material that it loses its identity? Its better that it stands on its own.

Y'know... I gotta agree, Trelliz. I hugely enjoyed playing the game and, when I completed it, one of my first thoughts was along the lines of "Dang! Why can't there be some DLC expansion? Every other game has it!". But... it was already ace, lengthy and had a decent storyline. Nothing else is needed; it's a great adventure and, as in Max's world, not all things have happy endings.
