We Won!

Cheers to Sykes for running it, much appreciated. It was great to finally win one of these and although some may complain I feel the TAP/Mocky partnership was excellent. Personally I'm delighted to have guessed every wolf except Parksey, though that may have been due to the Wiggles getting to pick the wolves and selecting those who would not only be useful, but maybe too obvious. I think that maybe that should have been the only thing done differently, that Sykes hadn't mentioned how the vamps were hand picked, it narrowed down our option somewhat. But otherwise I really enjoyed that, thanks to everybody involved for providing a nice distraction for a week.

If I played you at Street Fighter and pressed one button and spam attacked you to death, would you find that unfair and boring?

I’m playing the game; its my tactic - dont see the difference.

Play to win.

EDIT: And besides it would be my fault for not ever blocking the attack, right?

Maybe its just be but when I win I want to feel like I had involvement

Im not the type of person who lets others fight my battles and sit back and wait till it's all over.

I loved the game at the start but it got boring being a villager towards the end.

With the death of The Count, you can now be trusted to join THE SECRET SOCIETY and find out the identities of all your trusted brothers. You will no doubt play a vital role in helping us lynch that final vampire!

Godspeed, Villager!

When do we get the actual list? It'd be nice to not risk getting put up for the lynch.

Yeah, about that.

The only definitely safe people are me, you, TAP, Zellery and Banjo.

Noone else has been Seered that is still alive.

DarkRitual can also probably be trusted as he has known about Zellery being the Witch Doctor for a while.

Also, and please Keep this to yourself, but we kind of sort of PM'd everyone last night to say they had been Seered as Villagers. Bit of a crazy scheme but just thought it might provoke some kind of reaction from the last Vamp, or at least make real Villagers act a bit more outgoing/confident in the thread. It may tell us nothing but it was worth a shot.

Bear that in mind.

Good luck.

Good job, Zellery.

You mean good job I found the last vampire out of a group of over twenty players still?

Thanks. 8-)

If you're the ordinary role, good luck ever having any involvement if you want to win.

The only way you'll ever win this is if you get a really good pair of people with roles who basically single handedly win it. For the villagers alone, it's far too hard to win. Remember the last game when Mori was a Mafian? All our roles died and he just took Mayor along with someone else every other day and the mafian roles just controlled the game as it's impossible to tell otherwise unless they play really badly. (this is only in a big game like this though)

Seriously, you guys should get Garry's Mod and play Trouble in Terrorist Town, it's like the Mafia game, but with guns and games usually only last about 20 minutes rather than the weeks it takes a forum version.

And let's not forget the lack of class there. What an absolute dick. But then again what are you saying about him being a gooseberry fool player? Everyone knows all his experience at these games has made him one of the best and most important players. Oh wait...

Sorry for dragging the tone down, but those posts have really annoyed me. Not only about me, but about all 6 of us. I can't imagine how Sykes took the criticism of the game so well. Although then again noone had the complete lack of class to call him an idiot I guess.

Firstly I didn't criticise Sykes! He will confirm that, hes been excellent! We were discussing possible changes for the future, but that has nothing to do with how Sykes ran this one which was excellent. I particularly praised him for the twist of choosing the Vamps at the start. Really good. That'll be why I wasn't called an idiot.

Secondly - I never said I was a super awesome player! I have said a few times how disastrous I was last time! However, in discussions with a few villagers quite a few said 'surely they havent picked all big names - that would be a bit dumb' and yet you had. I'd say 'tactically' that was a huge mistake. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that.

I like the fact you are the one calling me a dick, when you are all being snide about my real life behind my back - get a life Wiggles - ITS A GAME. :|

I guess there are two type of game players in this this world

One - who want to win something, no matter how easy. The win in the most important.
Two - Want to be challenged in a situation that requires skill, hard work and a slice of luck. If you win, it will be all that sweeter.

Neither is better than the other - I fit into the second category.

It does a bit of a disservice to us to say it was as easy as playing Street Fighter while pressing one button. It's not like we knew who the Vamps were beforehand. There was sleuthing and gambles and guesswork and the aforementioned hard work involved too and building networks behind the scenes. And in fact only 3 of the 6 Vamps were actually Seered. In terms of controlling the mayoralty, then sure, it was a vice grip on the game and one that was impossible to remove if you didn't nail the Witch Doctor, but at certain key points things went a certain way in our favour (the Tuesday being the prime example) and if they didn't, or we didn't continue to produce results or if certain people had been Vigilante'd as opposed to others then it may have been a very different game. It was only when approaching the weekend and you were down to you and Wiggles that it really seemed like an inevitable procession.

MCN, that is an incredibly gooseberry fool attitude to take, especially with a forum game. I genuinely can't fathom why you think that way (not just you - StayDead and Bork too). It's honestly more important to you that you win rather than you have fun, in a forum game where there is nothing on the line? I suppose it's an agree to disagree situation, but it just doesn't compute with me.

I'm just disappointed that I had nothing to do before I got killed for Diabolito being a piece of gooseberry fool. When there's little for the non-key personnel to do so early on, it does lessen the enjoyment of taking part. We got lucky really early on and it was won by the time Parksey got seered. It's unfortunate but I don't think there's a lot a gamemaster can do about it.

Thanks for running it though, Sykes, and welcome back.
