Not enough murder and gore for my liking.

Watched the first two episodes, quite enjoying this. How many episodes will it be?

The soundtrack is distractingly bad though.

Is this genuinely any good then, for AYA? fans? Is there a secret sexy gang? Are there seers and other recognisable roles?

The show is mostly just people reading messages on their phones while muttering "I wish the masons would shut the strawberry float up".

The lack of an arsonist is disappointing.

Yeah it's good. The secret conversations they're having are like PM chats on here. And the way the wolves are picking who to kill is straight out of the Grcade playbook.

It's completely overdramatic and dumb, but then so is making the traitors dress up in hooded robes and stand in a room lit by burning torches, so I'm ok with the whole thing being very silly.

I wish they made the victims act out death scenes though! Missing a trick there

This sucks dude, is this essentially what you pitched or is it different? Did they steal your idea?

I mean its not an original idea and my ideal version of it wouldn't have been either. It feels like right time, right place kinda stuff TBH.

Is now a good time to counter pitch to another channel so they can have their version of this type of show?

I'm also disappointed by the lack of 'what's this?' with an image of a gun appearing on screen followed by a splash of blood.

Shed another million viewers last night so this really needs word of mouth and iPlayer to do the business. I think it’s going head-to-head with I’m A Matt Hancock! on ITV tonight which won’t help.

Not sure how many people remember it, but I liked The Murder Game on BBC1 which aired…well, I’ve forgotten tbh. Early 2000s, maybe.

From next week, they’re only going to be uploaded after they’ve aired on BBC1 (unless PLANS CHANGE).

I'd describe it as the worst possible time.

Of all the titles I got, Book of Smells was the best.

Watched the first episode and rather enjoyed. I wonder how they’re going to counterbalance things so they aren’t weighted so heavily in favour of the traitors as on the face of it without revealing identities on death and there being no detective role it seems quite hard for the normies.

Received wisdom is that Mafia are generally easier to find out when playing in person than on forum.

^ is correct. Going to c/p from Wiki because it's quicker and easier and mostly agreeable:

The physiological stress of sustained lying degrades the initial ability of mafioso to deceive the innocents, much more than a model of perfect play would predict, especially if the innocents can get the town emotionally involved in the game's outcome:
If you're trying to feign shock or anger, it's much harder to do over a long period. People accused of something they're trying to hide will start out feigning outrage – 'How dare you ask me that?' But that will start to change to objection rather than shock, as it's psychologically very difficult to mimic emotion.

— Dr Simon Moore, Wired UK

The information revealed by the mafiosi voting patterns tells against them later in the game. One of the game's fans Max Ventilla, has said that "If the villagers are allowed to keep a pencil and paper, they always win."

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.
