Started the Aus series. Some really aggravating characters - mostly “alpha lawyer”, “death stare” berk and the overconfident “pretty girl” (with so much make-up she looks like Frank N Furter).

There are too many contestants, and the episodes are too long (and that’s without the adverts). Weird that they make the viewer wait until breakfast to see who was murdered, and I was surprised at the number of traitors.

I’m sticking with it. Just some initial gripes. I’m sure I’ll love it by the finale.

It feels like there's one guy in Aus Traitors who's been edited out as much as possible. I don't even know his name but he never speaks and has barely been mentioned by anyone else so far. He just pops up occasionally during challenges and then does his voting.

Yeah it is Paul, thought maybe he's just incredibly dull during interviews so they leave them out, but even during the roundtable they get reaction shots of everyone else except him. It's become a game to try and spot him.

Was he the guy who did the “hilarious” Austin Powers “Oh behave” impersonation as he arrived at the first breakfast? Made me cringe myself inside out.

Just watched a banishment round, and you’re right. Paul has been basically edited out. Very weird. I’d google it but that risks spoilers.

EDIT: Maybe him creeping up behind make-up girl and kissing her on the back of the head at breakfast is a hint of his personality.

Only on Aus Ep 2, but is that arrogant legal twat MK going to address the breakfast table with a speech every morning? Traitor or not, I’d vote him off just to get rid of him. And the pompous way he says trait-orrr.

EDIT: Haha, no longer a problem. Likewise, glad Chloe walked. Idiot.

Aus ep3 banishment voting is all over the place! Seven different names! Marielle strawberry floated up so badly, in the vote, and when she blundered about there being four traitors.

Finished the Australian series. Far and away the best of the lot. So much brilliant scheming. Marielle getting her comeuppance was predictable but so sweet when it happened. Shame Nigel went out. Of all the traitors, I’d liked him to have won. Alex was a monster, throwing everyone under the bus and turning on the waterworks. Really didn’t want her to win, but Craig got totally played by her. His celebration turning to shocked realisation was so uncomfortable to watch. I thought the endgame was a bit ruined by the traitor/faithful imbalance meaning Craig couldn’t possibly win. I get that it was his own fault for letting two traitors through, but it made the final round a bit hollow. It never seemed to cross his mind that they could both be traitors.

Do the Australians say 100% in every sentence, just like our traitors, or do they have something different?

Australian one was played in the best spirit but it missed some of the absolute bellends the British version had which was very satisfying to watch as they had their idiocy revealed in front of them. Australian version was the clearest evidence that adapting the game for tv just ruins it somewhat as you artificially extend its length by forcing side switching. The Faithful played great and deserved to win but got screwed by new Traitors constantly being recruited. The eventual winner played it well but I think she was aided significantly by being very attractive.

Time for adventure

The Aussie one had my favourite moment in it (Craig at the end having his gentle heart broke in two). UK one is the best overall.

His moment of realisation was agony.

Hello!

I've just watched this.

Is it a spoiler allowed zone? I'll box it just incase.

Thoughts

Wilfred played very well, but I'm extremely glad his backstabbing was his downfall.

Kieran was absolutely right to write his name down. I probably would have gone further and said in the boardroom. 'if I am voted off as a traitor, you must also vote for wilf' but I feel maybe that wasn't allowed in the rules of the show.

His(Wilfs) betrayal of Alyssa was vaguely understandable as he was in trouble.

Amanda he literally sew the seeds so it was pointless. She only voted for Theo to protect him.

By the time it was Kieran you knew Wilf'd do it again. He is a pure manipulator and I'm so so glad he didn't win. Even his final speech was just lies and pure scum.

I disliked Hannah but good on her for finally clicking.

Very glad Aaron won too, such a loveable puppy like chap .

I of course get that it's reality TV and the directing and cutting of the show probably is done to make it more dramatic and make Wilf look bad. Hell it may even be set up. But it provided good entertainment and I'm happy with the way it went.

In summary - Wilf - gaslighter manipulator , perfect for a traitor but took it too far.

Kieran- absolute legend, absolutely did the right thing and in some ways remained loyal to the faithful by doing that.

Meryl - lucked her way to the money and never had a clue.

Aaron - lovely chap, helped massively by being a scapegoat and close to Wilf and Amanda, but fortunately he was never used as bait for the vote. Did well to survive. (Also on a side note. My least favourite part of the show was that bald masseuse laying into Aaron just for being interested in his life, it really pisses me off, what an absolute banana split that bald guy was for doing that)

Hannah- gullible idiot right the way through. Annoying, loud but finally some redemption at the end. I'm glad her ultimatum rule finally made her see through the manipulation.

Wilf - obviously he made the show and as I said he was obviously edited in a way to make him seem worse, but so glad he didn't win.

I'll give season 2 a go but I'm unsure if I'll enjoy it enough to watch all the way through, it depends how much they mix it up and what new ideas they bring!
