I haven't seen episode 5 but I've been spoiled on it - another twist borrowed from Survivor, this time Pearl Islands.

Watching ep 5 and John just doubles down on being a prick

The twist I think kind of shafts the traitors a bit.

Also starting to get sick of Theo, the guy is such a wet blanket.

Edit: Another great episode, Andrea dropping the F bomb was great

Tom redeemed himself quite a bit after yesterday, showing some humility. Alyssa did very well in the round table as did Wilf.

Maddy has such conviction in her utterly nonsensical theory it’s amazing, she’s definitely a conspiracy theorist in the outside world.

Episode 6 is brutal. BRUTAL.

Wilfs strat was horribly cruel and Amanda as well was ice cold  not sure if recruiting Alex is a good idea or not

Episode 6 was excellent. That roundtable! Woudn't have dared hope that the vote would be between two traitors with the third getting the deciding vote! Loved it.

Alex is the best choice for recruiting on balance of likely being good at it and accepting the offer. I suppose the acceptance does make it more interesting, but still it's pretty rubbish for the faithful that their successful lynch is cancelled out!

Episode 6 is the best so far. Feel like everyone is finding their stride in the game more and even the editing seems a bit tighter or maybe I just noticed the obnoxious music choices less.

Episode 6 :o

That was strawberry floating savage from Wilf, but fair play to him for recognising that it was most likely one of them going and he had to save himself. Amanda too, strawberry floating ice cold but definitely the right choice. Felt very bad for Alyssa, obviously the adult thing was nonsense but she is young and to go through that must have been tough with the way things turned out. I think when people had cottoned on to her though there was no way she could turn it round.

Recruiting Alex is a very risky move, she’s definitely the best choice of the lot but I think it could make that alliance unstable, especially with Wilf showing his true colours (though he did seem to feel genuinely bad about it).

Maddy also continues to be the single most annoying person on the show. I hope she never gets her win because she will attribute it to intelligence when it is blind luck.

Also I don't understand how the faithful can ever win if after every time one of them dies they just get to add another person.

Just caught up with episode 6. Great stuff. Interesting that after so much failure, nearly everybody successfully voted for one traitor or another, though obviously that was influenced by the tactics used.

I’d love for them to have recruited Maddy, to totally take the wind out of her sails.

Alex would be canny to turn down the offer. If the others realise that no murder = a recruitment attempt, she can go in and (if allowed) tell them that it was her they attempted to recruit. Nobody else can say that, and it would be a risky lie if she’d accepted, so they’ll believe her and she’ll be safe from banishment. Though they’d probably then murder her next.

Watching Ep 5. The faithful are totally useless and it seems like the traitors are going to win easily.

She'd definitely be setting herself up to be murdered if she did that, traitors will want to kill anyone who won't be banished. The problem is that if you don't accept you'll be a target regardless, as the traitors won't know if you've revealed the recruitment attempt to anyone else in confidence. It'd be an interesting play to accept the offer and still do that though! But on balance I think the best play if you get a recruitment offer is to accept (to avoid becoming a target to the traitors, which is inevitable if you decline) and then not to say anything about it - if you try the false-refusal claim then people might guess that's exactly what you're doing, and it draws attention which has proven fatal so far.

I do love how Maddy is bang on about Wilf, but her reasoning is completely strawberry floating daft and is not at all correct

To be fair she's still going after Wilf.

Her rationale for suspecting Meryl - the latter's reaction of "I knew it!" after Undercover Boyfriend revealed he was an innocent, despite, having voted for him - is the sort of thing that should be flagged up and is worthy of scrutiny. It's obvious Meryl knows that she's incriminated herself (despite being innocent) by how angry she has been about it and her claims that Maddy is "always accusing everyone" despite really only going after Wilf and Meryl.

What's going to be really fun now is that every time Maddy opens her mouth about Wilf, he's going to be able to say that he voted off the only Traitor to be banished and in fact led the charge on that occasion. Right now, theoretically, he should be seen as the most trustworthy player in the game.

Alex should accept the offer - these people banished Undercover Boyfriend, after all - and she'll probably be murdered if she doesn't.

And Aaron. She only thinks Wilf is a Traitor cause Aaron cried and left the room when Wilf voted him.

Ep 7:

Kind of surprised Alex refused to join their ranks but her reasoning for declining made sense, not an angle I'd really considered.

The Traitors have cottoned onto the fact that they need to remove anyone appearing to provide a sense of leadership to the Faithfuls - they've just got to be careful to balance their kills with those that are unlikely to be banished.

At the roundtable, I'm really surprised they didn't try and whittle down the number of candidates for banishment by ignoring anyone that voted for Alyssa. I'm sure Amanda will be canny enough, when her time comes, to remind them who cast the deciding vote for Alyssa.

I think both Maddy and Meryl defended themselves badly in ep 7. I think if I was in there I would be gunning for Meryl because of her defence and also what seem to be a few logical inconsistencies in things she's said. I would also be sick to my back teeth of Maddy but I don't think I would think she was a traitor because she's playing an idiot too well to be faking it.

Very bold move of Alex to turn down being a traitor but after seeing how things went in ep 6 I can understand why she would think strawberry float that! It's put the Traitors in a very tough position as they seem so vulnerable with the numbers this stacked against them
.

The Faithful seem to be on a decent enough track by using the emotional connection angle to find other Faithful rather than Traitors. From observing it that could put both Wilf and Amanda in difficult positions as they are starting to look a little detached.

Continues to be a really fascinating and entertaining watch. I hope this gets commissioned for another series. Any idea how well it's doing, I've turned loads of people onto it and suspect it might be doing well on iPlayer if not 'Live'.
