Is this not one of the best pieces of classical music ever written?

I mean, listen to the sheer majesty and power of this:

Keep that in the other topic. Anyway, some of us are more comfortable with our sexualities than, well, you. I don't feel the need to point out that I'm not gay in every post I make, for one.

EDIT: At BoobyD.

I never realised that the pedals on an organ were like another set of keys, either!

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata beats the gooseberry fool out of that.

or
Chopin - Prelude Op. 28/15 in D flat major 'Raindrop'

It's a classic, but it's got nothing on this.

Anything played on the Organ can make anything sound haunting. An amazing instrument at it's best.

Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C# minor = amazing. My favourite piece of music ever.

...and can you play it, my Grade 8 tinkling comrade?

You must have hands like shovels.

Heh, I can play it... But not with quite the same speed and gusto (particularly in that crazy middle section). Not yet anyway, but I will conquer it soon enough!

EDIT: And I agree that In the Hall of the Mountain King is also brilliant.

strawberry floating christ, that's abominable.

I know most wouldn't call it classical, but this piece always causes me to well up.
