Indian for 3 cost £60 the other night when we bad a friend over.

Chinese would normaly be in the £45 region for two of us.

I'm terrible at chinese indian. Effectively order for 2-3 and eat 1 persons worth (and then more over later days).

I like a variety of flavours/tastes.

On topic - there's no fecking pre-load? Wtf did I leave PC on to download 80gb overnight then?

But then where do you go to get kebab pizza?

I would simply not.

In BG news, I've bought this in the vain hope that this will be the fantasy CRPG that really clicks with me. The previews I've seen makes me confident but I guess I'll find out whenever I'm able to actually download this thing.

You've downloaded the early access version. You'll need to delete it and download the release version when it comes out later today (4pm).

I tried the first Baldurs Gate years ago and the enhanced edition more recently. I just found it all a bit overwhelming. Managing so many characters in real time was just too much for me. I have since played a fair chunk of Pillars of Eternity which I was quite enjoying so who knows, maybe it's time to give Baldurs Gate another try, no harm in doing so if it's coming to Gamepass.

I guess Steam is getting a bit battered because download speeds are absolutely all over the place.

Manchester servers are working well for me (32 MiB/s), you can try those if the London ones are a bit slow.

Initial impressions and reviews in progress look really positive! I'm very tempted, will probably bite once I'm back off holiday if I can find this for under £40.

Installed on my Steam Deck but it won't launch. Just hangs forever on a Steam loading screen with the Abort Game and Steam Menu options :(

Set it to use the proton experimental branch.

After a solid couple of hours in the character creator (what? that's normal, right?!), I rolled a natural 1 on my first check ( ) and then got to the first few interactions, and then the first combat.

Very early to say, but it seems good! I love Mind Flayers so there's a degree of fanservice targeting me specifically, but yeah, it's a solid start.

Holding off picking this up until I have "finished" TotK. Good to hear it runs ok on Steam Deck (using experimental).

Having spent 90-100hrs in early access I KNOW this will knock it out of the park. The replay value alone is insane with multi class options, and different outcomes to scenarios / quests. I’ve seen a review that says it nails the concept of actions and consequence. I read there are over a thousand possible end states given the actions and choice you make as well as variations in race and class dialogue etc.

When other developers start throwing gooseberry fool at Larian for setting unrealistic expectations to gamers moving forward, you know this is going to elevate the genre.

And no loot boxes, battle passes, DLC or micro transactions!!

I do think DLC will come for this which will take players into super high level play.
The problem is D&D at super high level can get all sorts of messy with casters able to do some seriously crazy stuff.

I have no idea how they would implement a Wish spell into the game and Time Stop can completely break everything.
Even 8th level spells like Simulacrum (which creates a perfect copy of someone) are a nightmare.

Well only just out of the tutorial but this feels solid and special so far!
