Rough idea!
I've noticed there are a lot of musicians and composers around this place.

I was thinking that with the ease of t'internet why don't we swap ideas/samples and whatever we like and put together some pieces of music.

For it to work I guess each composition would need a lead to be able to piece together the good bits and actually make something musical out of it.

Not sure if I've explained myself properly so here's an example.

I create a simple few piano chords on something like Logic Express then submit the audio/midi file for others to either tinker with or add parts to, ie drums/guitar. And go from there.
You could use any recording medium you like as long as you can export it.

Again, it's a rough idea so don't shoot me down in flames, but thought it might be fun pooling everyone's creativity.

So who would be up for it?

Edit: What could you offer? Drum programming? Piano? Composition?

Edit No. 2: Poll included. What style would you like to compose?

Anyone that is interested could you drop me a message with what you can contribute and what programme you'll be using, eg. Logic, ProTools.

Thanks

We need a GRcade cover of Do They Know It's Christmas?

If we do the Band Aid 20 version, Bobby D can do the Dizzee Rascal bit.

Good plan.

I'll contribute awful sounding rhythm acoustic guitars.

I'm also a dab hand with a theremin. Just thought it should be brought up in case we want to homage 1950's Sci-Fi.

Interesting stuff.

Any suggestions on how you'd like us to start? What style of music? Start with beat or chords? Etc....

I don't mind putting it all together.
