Yes, Bandai Namco are to open three retail stores in the UK... with the possibility of more to come.

Nintendo Life wrote:The first will open on December 7th, 2023 in Ealing, followed by Brighton's North Street on December 12th, 2023, and finally Meadowhall Sheffield on December 15th, 2023.

Nintendo Life wrote:The stores will feature products such as Bandai's Gashapon, which are miniature capsule collectibles and vending machines, Ichbankuji, which translates as 'Number One Lottery' and combines anime collectibles with a lucky-dip style draw in which "everybody is a winner", and Sun-Star Stationary, a branch of Bandai Namco specialising in 'kawaii' stationary and everyday items. Arcade games will also feature at the Brighton store specifically.

If that's not enough, Bandai Namco has also confirmed that more will follow in 2024, with the company planning the launch of larger stores, tours, and other brand appearances.

I wonder if any GRcadians live near to these locations? I believe that a few folk are in the Brighton area.

Will you be visiting a Bandai Namco store? Maybe you'll be looking for a Klonoa pencil case? Or perhaps a store could arrive on your local high street, tucked in amongst the empty shopfronts and takeaway places?

I believe that Digimon is a Bandai Namco property, shy guy... so, hopefully, yeah, there could be some Digimon stuff available! Hopefully one of these first three stores is within a reasonable traveling distance of your home!

I might take a look next time I'm in Brighton, if it hasn't shut down already.

I thought you'd be the kinda guy after some Pac-Man notepaper, Preezy :toot: .

Fake edit: I wonder if they could have some Elden Ring stuff, too?

I hadn't known, but Bandai Namco already have a store in the UK, based in Camden, London.

The Bandai Namco Cross Store sells video game and character merchandise and also has a cafe and arcade amusements. Click here to find out more.

Maybe a few GRcadians are now eagerly planing a trip to their local Bandai Namco retail store.

I imagine that would be pretty successful. If priced right. Not sure how I didn't know about it.

A similar thing is still open here that was Hello Kitty and Pusheen and Gudetama on rotation.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

If I get a chance over Christmas I'll have a gander at this. The only Bandai Namco thing I care about is Soul Calibur AFAIK.

I'm not far from Meadowhall (or Meadowhell as I refer to it) but I won't be rushing there to buy Gachapon and Galaxian branded stationary any time soon.

Whatever time you head to Meadowhall, its heaving with people, I don't enjoy going really, not sure what I'd even see for sale in a Bandai Namco shop really

Nearly got KO'd by some random womans handbag in Meadowhall while christmas shopping one year.

It is genuinely a hellish place at Christmas.
