The new biggest con in gaming

Can I ask what makes you say this?

Because there is barely any stock when these deals go live, it's all about driving traffic to the website.

Is it really a con, though?

Last few left clearance sales are hardly a new concept.

It isn't that all. There is nothing to sell, they're simply driving traffic to the website with no attention of selling you anything. Look on twitter if you want more proof

It's not a con, but it's a terrible idea. A few people get great bargains, while the vast majority walk away pissed off and probably determined never to use the site again.

Going to have a try at getting Mario & Rabbids in just over an hours time for £25. If I have no joy nabbing a pre order at that price the place is a con :shifty:

I'm not gonna bother trying to get one of these GameSeek "offers" and their high publicity / low stock approach has turned me off from making any kind of purchase from them.

I tried to get the £200 switch this morning. Suffice to say it was not a success.

It's true but they don't care because it gets them links for Google, mainly.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

That's currently on 'sale' digitally on xbone for an extra tenner, if you really really hate boxes.

Definitely worth a punt at 15 snoops. I really enjoyed my time with the PC version. Not sure what the performance is like on the PS4 version.

It was initially ropey but Digital Foundry say "It's taken three months to comprehensively sort the issues, but we can finally recommend the PlayStation 4 version of Bethesda's excellent Prey with no reservations." :toot: .

I think they've just taken the price away for some reason, i can't imagine it would suddenly bring the game back to life. Apparently Shadow Warrior is also free but for a limited time.

Its Quakecon, so one of the announcements was Brink is F2P now, I think there is only a map pack to buy, so yeah odd move.

Voucher codes for Tesco Direct:

£10 off when you spend £75 or more - TDX-HYTP
£20 off when you spend £150 or more - TDX-WFTW

PS4 Slim 500GB White Console (E Chassis) + Doom + Dishonored 2 + Fallout 4 + Fifa 17 - £209.99 @ Tesco w/ TDX-WFTW voucher code

Horizon: Zero Dawn is currently out of stock but qualifies for this deal instead of Fifa 17, so it might be worth checking if it's come back by the time you order this if you end up doing so.

Anybody know what the E Chassis changes are? The D Slim is out of stock so I assume these are replacing everything, does it just have a lower power usage or something?
