Really tempted to take advantage of The Game Collection's 10% off selected pre-orders promotion. Promotional code: FIREFLOWER

It makes Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle £39.55, but I'm still wavering on whether I want it. It looked great at E3, but we've seen so little of it, I wonder how substantial it will be, and I would rather check out reviews before committing. I'm concerned it might be a little too easy too.

It makes Pillars Of Eternity Complete Edition (on consoles) £31.45. I had that pre-ordered on Amazon for £37.99. It makes The Evil Within 2 £36.85 also.

Went to claim the code on Steam and apparently I already owned it.

I think I paid £17 for that.

You'll be lucky to get one for that price I reckon. The cheapest one in CeX is more than that.

Probs stating the obvious, skarmachild, but... have you tried eBay or your local CEX? Do you need a hard drive version? I guess you want the newer Slim or E models? Nothing in this bracket on eBay for under thirty quid in the Buy It Now section. TBH a place like CEX could be your best option in order to avoid postage charges that will eat into that thirty pound limit.

You can possibly do it by buying a bundle and then selling the games but not an option without money to spend. I sold like 20 games with my 360 and only got about £80.

Thanks for suggestions, well i guess i'd prefer a slim one (less chance of breaking right?), and i can always get a USB memory for GTA 5 cause it needs like 8gb memory or something wacky.

This one is £40 https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SX360E001C

For the newer (i think) black one, says no HD... assume that means hard drive. How cheap are the hard drives for these things cause theres like what 3 different types now for it? If its cheap i may as well go for internal.
Would this fit the above xbox: https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=S360VALSL120HD

Edit: Also theres this value battery pack for 50p.

I have one of those connector/charger cables that goes into the top of the 360 controller, would this be suitable ya reckon?

This is what I have:Image

I'm not sure the 360 E has a hard disk compartment at all. It comes with a few gig of flash memory and that's it, so just plug in a portable USB hard drive, any old one will fit GTA on it. CEX probably have some lower capacity refurbs for £10-£30.

I tend to find games don't run all that reliably or have problems running from USB flash drives on consoles (Wii U) and PC.

Yeah, the newer E models were like the S models; some came with 4 Gb flash storage whilst others came with an internal hard drive. The model E and model S internal hard drives are the same. It's worth going for one with an internal hard drive if you see it but, yeah, all 360s also allow the use of an external USB drive now. I prefer the looks and styling of the older S model over the E, but that's just personal preference.

So, you just gotta look in local shops / exchanges to see if you can get one in reasonable condition for that thirty quid price point. The 360 is still a great console!

Yeah it's this whole 'installing games to HD' that is really putting me off current gen. Even though I aint gunna be playing A MILLION games, internet in my village is slow, so DL'ing games would be ehhh. Literally the only next gen thing I want is Elite Dangerous.
