I got half of what I'd ordered, I ordered 8 black cameras and 8 white across 4 names and 2 addresses, I got all the black all of the white were cancelled.... I expected some cancellations so hedged my bets with colours and different postcodes.

Just noticed on the delivery note that they've made note of all the serial numbers.

What do we think the chances are they've bricked them lol

I'd assume they wouldn't as if they work and some people sign up and pay to fully use them they will recoop some cash that way...

If they brick them I'll dissect one for fun and take pictures.

Depends where you order them from, and how close to teatime it is.

I don't use Currys for pre-orders anymore after they lost my copy of Elden Ring. Took me a week to get them to cancel it so I could get the money back (I ended up buying it digitally).

EDIT: My Metroid Dread copy was late as well because they decided to dispatch it on the release date. Which kinda defeated the point of pre-ordering it frankly.

Rinks isn't far from the truth on that.

For Elden Ring it was really a DPD issue. They sent me my "Your parcel will be delivered between 18:00 and 19:00" text so I'm sitting there, having my dinner just waiting for a knock at the door. Nothing. Checked the tracking and "Oh we couldn't deliver your parcel cos you weren't in", strawberry floating lying pricks. So the next week followed the trend of "Due for delivery Monday", "Due for delivery Tuesday" etc etc. Anytime I spoke to Currys "Oh there's nothing we can do if it's not lost". DPD were unable to help at all, until finally I decided to hell with it and just bought it digitally. Then had to wait for DPD to finally go "Yeah we lost it", which more accurately is "Our driver probably stole it", before Currys would refund me.

Utterly moronic.

For Metroid Dread, like I said they didn't dispatch it till the date of release. Which was pish. Though in their defence there it was a later pre-order than usual, probably a few weeks before launch.

Demon's Souls for PS5 is £24.99 at Amazon. Great pricing for any new PS5 owners.
