My gold is expiring soon and Microsoft offered me 12 months renewal for £26.66, way cheaper than cd keys. Last couple of times it was up for renewal they've offered me cheapo month renewals, it seems like they know I'll go cd keys/ebay for a better price and they're attempting to prevent it, so it might be worth you just committing to a month and seeing what's offered after that.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare - Legacy Edition - i.e. including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered - for PS4 is £39.75 (until midnight) at The Game Collection. Cash Expendable?

Xbox dashboard, right in my face.
It's still there even though I've renewed.

where do you go to find this, i had a look last night and couldn't find it. I then went into subscriptions and nothing to change from the monthly to a year. Its weird, it's like xbox don't want my damn money.

EDIT: Found the monthly to a year one but just tries to charge me 39.99.

It was offered to me on the dashboard (Xbox 1, it wasn't on my 360 dashboard) because my Gold was about to expire. They've offered me £1 for a month twice in the last few months also.
