Or with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for £309.99: https://www.game.co.uk/en/m/nintendo-sw ... -8-2093043

Should be £299.99 right? Also Zelda bundle is same price as the MK8 bundle.

There's 1% Quidco cashback on hardware at GAME so that would bring the price down a bit to £296.99/£306.89.

Such a smack in the chops to those that paid full price just a couple of weeks ago (not me, thankfully). I mean discounts are great but I do feel for those early adopters. You're always much better off holding off buying a game at launch as within a few weeks it'll be both cheaper and more stable through the inevitable patches.

Indeed, man. The price reductions are nice but it is a real kicker for those who supported the games at launch. Stuff like Need for Speed is only eleven days old and it has had a 40% discount! It has put me off from launch purchases... which I guess is a good thing.

Unless it's a Nintendo game, never buy anything at launch.

I'm also extending that mantra to hardware now. I've previously bought the PS2, PS3 and PS4 at launch but if/when the PS5 comes out I'll be holding off for a year or 2 so I can have a larger (and cheaper) library of games available to choose from. Might have to get that PS4 Pro to future proof myself for a couple of years but again I'm not going to be paying launch prices for that either.

Thriftyness is next to godliness.

When the Nuclear Holocaust descends and brings about the End of Days, survivors will barter using 3DS and Wii U games.

Jawa might have beaten the Forest Temple by then too.

I think is kind of true. My local indie reckons Wii U games are going to rise in price massively some day.

Especially given when all this microteansaction gooseberry fool goes off line and there's no game left, or online mode, there's no point buying the game..

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

You want those so you can trade them in immediately and get some money back on your purchase ;)

Isn't it usually digital copies you get on these pack in deals just so that you can't trade them in?

Sony usually go physical; MS download (such as Forza or Assassins Creed). Everything else is thrown in by the retailer and is on disc.
