Do these work just the same as Xbox Live credit? Bit weird that they sell both, and at different prices.

Works with Microsoft Store online, Windows 10, Xbox One and Xbox 360 (Xbox Live required).

OK, cheers. (So, why DO they sell both?!)

I'm around 50 points short of nabbing £25 worth, so I'll rack up some easy rewards tomorrow and get them redeemed.

It's just branding basically.

Xbox Live Credit is a branding that's going to appeal to your average gamer on the street.
Microsoft Store Credit is going to appeal to people who might be looking at buying hardware/software from the Microsoft store.

I guess that makes sense. But discounting one and not the other is just odd.

They take it in turns. The Xbox one was discounted up until about two weeks ago when it ended and the Microsoft card got discounted. Before the Xbox discount, the Microsoft one was discounted. This one will probably stop being discounted this week or next and I wouldn't be surprised if the Xbox one dropped in price again.

Rewards is a lot better now than the old Xbox version. I'm getting over 7,500 points a month roughly which is just shy of £10 credit :datass: I have some due to expire in a few weeks so I'll need to find something to buy with it.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit rubbish when they first announced the change. I used to get about £5 back each month, but I’ve accrued enough for £25 without realising, so it’s not so bad.

How are you getting that many points a month?

How are you getting that many points a month?

Use edge for 12 points a day
90 from PC searches at work
I just installed Edge on my phone to get the 60 points from Mobile searches a day

Visit the rewards area everyday from PC/Mobile and you’ll get about 100 more from the activities (clicking the links - Monday and Tuesday have 3 questions trivia quiz’s for 30 points each etc)

Xbox rewards app has between 5-30 points every day. Again click each link and then go back to the rewards app. You don’t even have to let the launched app load, the click itself awards you the points. This month Xbox reward app brought back the questionnaire (it used to be on the old Xbox rewards website), like the old one you’ll get 250 points for completing that.

Check your emails. Once a month they seem to send out an email with clickable links that earn you between 10-20 each link. The email is usually worth around 60-90 points I reckon. It might go to your spam

I’ve always been trading my points in for the discounted gift cards, otherwise expect to lose probably around £10 a year

What were the Black Friday console deals like last year, anyone recall? Looking to get a PS4 but don't know whether to wait until then.

The XBone and Switch deals were decent - I got a Switch deal that has still not really been matched. The XBox One S deals were also insane.

I can't remember what was going on with the PS4, but I think it's worth waiting just in case.

£1.99 for all the steam castlevania games, it seemed rude not to buy it

£3.49 for all the steam MGS games, but out of stock, Castlevania was earlier but came back into stock, so there is hope

Castlevania is out of stock when you try to add to basket.

Shame that the Castlevania games are the last 3, which either aren't very good or aren't very good as a Castlevania.

I liked the first one on 360, but it was not a Castlevania game, it was I dunno God of War with a Castlevania skin and name.

I still find it incredibly odd that digital keys can become out of stock.

I don't see why when it's from a key seller. They get given a certain amount of keys and then they run out. If it was directly from the people who made the game, then fair enough.

They’re only 79p at Morrison’s. Not sure why anyone would buy them on eBay.
