Shift 2 Unleashed and free DLC on Origin £5 - looks a good deal to me

http://store.origin.com/store/eaemea/en_GB/DisplayProductDetailsPage/ThemeID.850300/productID.224563400

EDIT Use the code OA2DT76N to get it down to £4 from £5 according to HUKD

Thanks for that, bought. Also works through the client directly and the £1 off code does work too. £4 all in! 8-)

I would get Shift 2, but I've hardly played any racing games recently, and with Ridge Racer Unbounded coming out at the end of march, I wouldn't give it much time.

Falsey hates it, so it's probably quite good, although I wouldn't know since I haven't played it.

Looks great, much better than the first game, some amazing tracks, lots of content.

The handling can take some getting used to, but if you find the right camera position and effects for you, its probably the best game of its type.

Who strawberry floating said I hate it you shitstick?

I own the strawberry floating game and I think its ok. It gets worse as the cars get more powerful, the handling model is far too twitchy. Its very fun and pretty difficult at the lower tiers. Worth a fiver. Also being a PC game there are tonnes of mods which make it much better. I cant play it without the cockpit camera mod, makes the camera work properly instead of being a useless mess.

Having played both, Ridge Racer Unbounded has nothing on Shift 2. Shift 2 is by far the greatest driving experience of any game ever - the combination of visual and sound effects is unsurpassed - you really do feel like you are driving RACING cars in this game.

£4 it should be a no brainer for everyone.

Well I'm a massive fan of Flatout, so RR:U to me is essentially the next game in the series - plus the track editor looks interesting. At the risk of drawing racing snobbery, I prefer my racing fast and loose rather than ultra-realistic.

Maybe you should try Shift. Im fairly certain theres a demo out there but I reckon you'd like it.

The physics have a base in reality but they are far from Gran Turismo or Forza - its all about the track action. Its one of the few racing games where Ive been happy to finish 2nd or 3rd because the process of getting there is so fun.

Eurogamer Expo had long queues for everything except this Ridge Racer game last year.

I read that as fallout and thought for a second that Ridge Racer had taken a turn for the stranger. I'm actually a little disappointed.

Namco shouldn't have shown it at Eurogamer. The code was way, way too early. I've not seen a final build myself, but have heard it's come quite a long way since then.

Origin has a sale on (yeah, I know ;) ) of 'classic' games for £5 each (use code OA2DT76N to get £1 off each game)

http://store.origin.com/store/eaemea/en_GB/html/pbPage.lovescarnival_EN/?sourceid=uklovescemail419951329

About 90% is shite with a tons of Sims 2 gubbins. Already bagged Shift 2 + free DLC (see above posts)

Tiger Woods 12 for £4? I'll have some of that.
Fancy Battlefield 2 Complete Collection but not sure what the online activity will be like - any1 play it regular or is it all BF3 now?

Finally Steam has AI War Fleet Command
http://store.steampowered.com/app/40400/
for £2.37 as a daily deal. Looks pants from the video but metacritic and user scores rate it highly though http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/ai-war-fleet-command
