Watched first ep, was a lot better than I imagined. The only cheesey bits I thought really was Catwoman constantly looking into the distance.

Wasn't expecting it to be moderately serious at all which is good.

Aye, a good episode.

I am surprised that the Penguin would turn up at Jim Gordon's own apartment. But then he knew Gordon can't turn him in or he's dead.

Yeah this is cheesy as hell but I really like the Harvey/Jim dynamic and Penguin is interesting to watch.

I'm liking this new style of Alfred. Sure it might be a bit disjarring to see your favourite fuffly butler going all rouge.

Such a badass.

This Alfred would probably knifed Bruce Wayne between his ribs once he said he will wear an outfit that look like a Bat and go out and fight criminals as Batman.

I like how an article criticising the choice of making a white stunt woman look black then uses the phrase "of colour" to describe black people, what is this, the 1930's?

Fourth episode is a bit weak.

The scenes with Fish Mooney is a bit cringeworthy though, especially the fight scene.

Cobblepot is great as usual.

Gotham has all the subtlety of a rather large sledgehammer.

My guess is that Ivy's mother will die. She does look poorly and Ivy will be adopted and grow up in a secure, happy family and get renamed. But then she's too old to be renamed.i don't think this will be the last time we see Ivy.

What do you think of Edward Nygma? I thought he was poor character of all in the show.

Also Cobblepot and cranky Alfred looks to be the best characters in the show.

Loving Cobblepot.

Ep4 Spoilers
Guessed that he orchestrated the robbery from the word go, but I still enjoyed the pay off.
Also really cool to see Arkham for the first time. I'm sure it's not the last we're going to see of the Asylum.
I'm also liking that after the first episode they've stopped dropping in random characters and have focused in on the core Gordon/Harvey/Cobblepot/Mooney/Maroni/Falconi group.

So far it's been enjoyable, but I'm not rushing home to watch it each week. If they can at least keep it at this quality I'll stick with it, but if there is any slide of more than one or two episodes I'll probably bail.

I watched the first episode with my wife who is a huge batman fan and we both really enjoyed it. i was a bit more sceptical about it all with trying to tie in all the villains as kids but for the first episode it was all fairly believable and well it is based on a comic book series so it's not exactly meant to be realistic anyway. Also i really enjoyed Sean Pertwee as Alfred probably just due to liking Pertwee as an actor overall but i thought his version was a nice change to a sometimes in cartoon and early TV shows a bit dull. As in the films with Michael Caine he adds a bit more of an edge and roughness to the butler role.

I gave this another try after the pilot, the strawberry floating weather balloons  such a crappy plot.

The only decent things in this are Penguin and the over the top Alfred, Montoya's well cast but badly written
