Hmm. There's...potential possibly.

Felt like it relied too much on "And here's this character you know. and this one! LOOK HOW IT'S ALL CONNECTED!"

But I thought it was a shot in a nice style, and if they can balance the mob/police angle it could work. Think it's young(ish) target audience will limit how grim/dark/gritty it'll get

I get why Jim let Oswald live, I really do. But to have the first thing he does next kill a random stranger, just made Jim's completely understandable decision look stupid

It was alright, probably won't watch the next episode but I will if the series shapes up well. Personally I have no idea how they can stretch it out for more than a season or two.

Some subtle foreshadowing last night (I'll point out - none of these are spoilers/real lines, but they're pretty much how the show dealt with similar situations)

1x01- The worst foreshadowing was definitely Riddler's appearance. It was painful.

I'll watch the next episode out of curiosity but this pilot was not good.

Neither was Arrow.

Haven't watched it yet but just hoping it isn't S.H.I.E.L.D bad.

I thought it was actually quite good, yes the slotting in of all the characters back stories was painful at times, but in-between those scenes there were the beginnings of a decent show.

Arrow pilot was better than this.

That was hard work getting through. Bruce's scream at the end of the opening. :slol: "Oh look, it's the legendary HARVEY BULLOCK". :fp: Shitty generic overbearing music marring almost every scene of significance. Sledgehammer subtly. It's the most network-ed to strawberry float drama I've seen in long time. Simultaneously visually interesting yet also really cheap looking. Some decent performances from some of the cast I will concede.

I didn't have high expectations going in so I can't say I'm disappointed but man that was rough.

That scream pissed me off in all the trailers too. Ridiculously awful.

Not good but I'll continue watching. I like most of the cast but bad music and villains being shoved in at every point was off-putting. Maybe my dirty mind but did they hint at lesbian Barbara? My main concern is how they're going to move forward, is it just going to be case of the week?

Barbara seemed to be a lesbian. That's what I thought.

I didn't think it was bad, but it wasn't particularly inspiring.
The music was really intrusive at points, the foreshadowing wasn't especially subtle and too many characters show-horned in. Twenty minutes in and you'd already seen:
Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, Poison Ivy

So I'll be watching at least the next two or three episodes to see how it goes. It was certainly much better than S.H.I.E.L.D was when it started. I swear that show felt like a 90's SG-1.

Yep. It's even more obvious if you know Montoya's gay.

Nice. I only know my Batman basics so no idea who she was.

Not a bad start. Much room for improvement but interested to see where they take it.

Didn't know what to make of that. Some of the dialogue and performances were really cringey and the appearances of Catwoman etc. were too forced. Not particularly arsed about watching future episodes.

Don't you like Shield? That is EXACTLY the show you just described.
