Right, I tried Operations and its absolute BOBBINS compared to Conquest, first off is the ridiculously long load times (more than normal unbelievably) and secondly it doesnt match make or attempt to so you have matches that you just get mulched to death, I've never known a battlefield game in which I was spawn killed more. Conquest is simply more refined and has largely ironed out many niggles.

For console players the new update has changed some of the stick deadzone settings so I advise changing them to something that isn't gooseberry fool.
The deadzone is set to 22% and I've taken mine down to 11% and I've also increased the sensitivity by about 5% as well so it now plays more like how it did before as the new setting just felt terrible.

I had the worst 2 games ever with the new settings and I pretty much couldn't hit anything (not that I'm any good at the best of times but the new settings made any engagement with the enemy a death sentence) and it just wasn't nice to play and felt really odd.
You may like it but to me it felt like swimming in treacle.

I played after the update a few times and actually had better games than normal, only major problem was that I couldn't revive as fast as usual, takes a second or so now in between revives when have several lying around. I have to say most of my anger comes at my team mates in this.

1 guy capturing a point, our Tank SITS OUTSIDE CAPTURE POINT and shoots randomly INTO IT. I run by the tank and while looking for the goon get killed by a sniper, something that wouldn't happen if the strawberry floating tank just drove a meter into the zone! I get so enraged. This happens FAR too many times, at least once a game it happens, grow some balls and chance it. I run from point to point and yeah I get killed by rarely to I get killed more than I kill.

Then the gooseberry fool medics, played with a guy who was also a medic, I must have revived him 20times and not strawberry floating ONCE did he revive me, I mean jesus! I sent him a message just saying REVIVE PPL FFS! and he wrote back SORRY IVE NO MIC. What the actual strawberry float is he on about? there's a great big strawberry floating skull icon over my dead body! I'm getting angry just thinking about it! :fp: :x

I said there is no problem when I'm a medic, and that the biggest problem I find is that people respawn before I can save them and I get killed in the line of fire and it was just 1 guy.. a goon for sure.

I get that as well. Plus I spend time reviving team mates only for me to be killed and they strawberry float off and don't revive me....

This game with randoms is 99% frustration with hardly anyone using mics and thus teams running about with zero tactics or in an actual group.
Just being able to ask for back-up or some kind of group attack (most people ignore the objective given by the squad leader if he's even bothering) is beyond most teams.

Getting this for xmas on PS4, picked it over Titanfall 2 and Dishonoured 2 despite the higher price tag. Looking forward to the action packed single player campaign in a WW1 setting.

Never played a battlefield game either so should be very unique to me. The last shooter I bought was shadowfall.

They Shall Not Pass: A Glimpse Of The First Battlefield 1 Expansion

See how DICE Envisions the Upcoming New Maps

Releasing March 2017, They Shall Not Pass* will be the first Battlefield™ 1 expansion. Featuring all-new maps, new weapons, and the new playable French Army faction, They Shall Not Pass will truly expand the theater of all-out war.

Though we don’t want to give too much away at this point we have something special for you: concept exploration images from the DICE team. These images represent the studio’s vision of the battlefields you’ll encounter in They Shall Not Pass. Read on and learn what inspired the charred landscapes, muddy trenches, and close-quarter environments.

Around 1 million shells were fired in the opening barrage of the Battle of Verdun. This created massive forest fires around the fortified city and the battlefields surrounding it. Soldiers tell stories of being able to see these fires from far away. We really wanted to capture this initial fighting in a battle that came to be known as the Devil’s Anvil.

The initial fighting around Verdun quickly transformed villages like Samogneux and entire forests into shadows of their former self. Verdun turned into the longest battle of the war lasting 9 months which completely transformed it. We wanted our players to be part of these initial intense attacks in the cold February of 1916.

The stories of the heroic garrison inside of Fort Vaux inspired us deeply, they fought a tough battle for every inch in the dark in these underground corridors. Down here in the maze of dark galleries the French and Germans fought ferociously with grenades, flamethrowers, and poison gasses.

Some 40 million artillery shells were fired over the course of the battle at Verdun, pulverizing the ground, turning the earth into a shattered lunar landscape. And underneath some of these trenches, tunnels and underground fortresses provide for new experiences yet unexplored in Battlefield 1.

In contrast to Verdun the Battle of Soissons in late 1918 inspired us to create a new set of maps that captures the massive French tank assaults. The fighting revolves around key bridges over the Aisne River and something big lurks around the village of Fismes.

If you want a head start with They Shall Not Pass, a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass** will grant you this – and much more. Apart from two-week early access to all four expansions, the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass comes with priority server access, 20 new weapons, 14 free Superior Battlepacks, unique Dog Tags, and more.

Great game but real issues with the servers the last few days and also medics running past you and not reviving is the most frustrating thing ever.

Yep, so many people choose the medic class but fail to bother actually being a medic.
Not reviving people is counter productive as it's free points and helps the team but most just don't bother.

I am finding on PC that the medics are better than when the game launched.
