Single player? No. Just no.

Multiplayer is where it's at. 39 hours clocked so far.

I'm loving the infantry rifles in the sniper class, amazing at medium range and that reload animation :datass:

Had my third multiplayer session on this last night.

After my second I was kind of thinking this wasn't for me.

It all started to click a bit more last night. I mean I knew what the general idea was but it just clicked. I think starting to understand where best to spawn on the map depending on where you squad was, what objective you wanted to achieve really helped. Initially I was just spawning right back at the start each time.

I'm still not very good it terms of K/D ratio but I at least feel now like I want to persevere with it to improve.

I still don't seem to have enough, war bonds are they?, to buy a better gun so when I do that'll probably help. Do you just get them by playing, and being good?

Are we going to organise a session with a full Xbone GR squad? The Mrs is away this week so it's an ideal time for me.

You unlock guns naturally by levelling up each class, it can take some time. In my opinion, aside from the medic, the starter guns for each class are pretty good anyway.

Also, don't worry about K/D, it's all about points. If you play the objective correctly, you can be in the top half of the score table with a terrible K/D, as long as you were playing to the objective and your class role. One of the things I love about the BF series, kills are only one of many ways to earn points.

Also, try to always be in a squad, as they are your spawn points. Preferably a squad that sticks close together. If i join a squad and can see each member at a different location on a map, i leave the squad and try another.

Stick with it, when it clicks I find nothing else matches the feel and satisfaction of a good Battlefield match.

I joined your game initially - I spawned on you while you were crouched down somewhere high up sniping. I just ran off. Don't think you could hear me but I thought you might have left because I was swearing quite a lot!

Yeah I know K/D ratio is not the main thing, like Battlefront, but at the minute I'm probably dying at least twice as much as killing which can get frustrating so I would like to improve a bit on that.

On my first few goes I didn't know what was going on so was frustrated and presumably was a useless squad member now its sort of clicked with me I'm suddenly getting frustrated when my squad is gooseberry fool!

I was at a flag / capture point on my own trying to take control so many times last night and not once did anyone from the squad I was with spawn on me.

I probably die a lot because when I am with a squad I'm thinking "right, he's checking that area out there so I'll go and check this bit out" then the next thing I know someone comes and stabs me from behind so am thinking WTF was my squad member doing. I feel I die a lot when I assume my squad are doing something so I try and do something to compliment that but it turns out they just go and do their own thing.

Yea, I know what you mean. It also helps massively if the squad leader is giving you objectives to attack or defend (they are highlighted in green and it states it in the lower left of the screen). Not only does that give your squad a point of focus, it also gives you bonus points for following squad orders.

Yep you can rake in loads of points just by having a decent squad leader who marks objectives near you so you can get them easily.
Having 3 or more people on a squad communicating and one being leader will see you rack up a good score in no time.

If you're lucky enough to get placed in a decent squad (or play with mates) this game is something else!!! When picking a squad to join, I always try to look at the team, at least one medic is required and I try to avoid a squad with more than one sniper (you just know they're out to camp somewhere leaving the rest of the team going it alone on the battlefield..... )

I'll be getting this for Christmas with any luck (PS4) - so if you see me about on christmas evening, an invite to a party would be ace :)

You're welcome to join Chalky, Stu and I as squads are 5 people so that should work great :D

Just got this game. I also have no friends on PSN. Anyone wanna play with me? ㅠㅠ

Also, what is the single player campaign like? Not heard many people talking about it.

'War stories' campaign is great, if a little short. I hope they tell a few more stories in the DLC (though doubt they will!)

Campaign is pretty awful, the super solider element is a parody beyond belief.

It's fine, better than most Battlefield campaigns. If nothing else, it has variety and it looks great but overall a pretty forgettable experience. It's essentially 5 different self-contained stories for 5 different characters. Each campaign offers something different, you have one based mostly in a tank, one mostly in a plane and then the rest are on foot (although still varied). Quite a bit of stealth involved in a few of them too.

I've enjoyed my time with it, enough to play through it multiple times for the collectibles etc, but don't buy the game just to play the campaign.
