Played the new map Fort de Vaux and felt very much like Metro (bf3) or Locker (bf4) great if you want to rank up but a poor map overall.

That's a shame. I too am not a fan of those maps. Just everyone throwing grenades and huddled in a mass.

It really is although they have reduced all grenades to 1 and a slower respawn for them from ammo packs. But it's a bit too much on the new map especially with gas.

It's not as bad as those tunnels of meat grinder, there are pinch points at point B but pretty much all the other areas can be attacked from every angle, you can also run around it outside so while in the fort it can get mental you can run off and circle around behind the enemy.

I played all 4 last night, 2 of the infantry maps are very grimey, all muck and puddles, the fort is the same outside, realistic I presume but not that eye appealing, the bigger maps fair better. The one with the river was good fun, trench's both sides, other team got the behemoth tank and it was quite the sight seeing it move slowly across the river with pretty much our entire team throwing anti tank grenades and circle around it. Word of warning, when it explodes get some distance away, it's blast radius is vast and if you look at it it whites out your screen for a second, explodes like a nuke went off!

The other village map is very pretty with a stream running through it that acted as a conduit for our squad to go from point to point as its lowdown and provides cover, gorgeous though, troops running up the stream again is very impressive visually.

God I hate maps like 'Locker' or 'Metro'..... And like it's already been pointed out, choke point maps would be unbarable with gas grenades raining down :dread:

64 players are far too many for Fort de Vaux.

Anyone having any issues with this? Yesterday I loaded it up to try and play and it said my Nvidia driver was out of date. downloaded it and was told it isn't compatible with my version of Windows. So I can't even play it. Just tried loading up again today and it came up telling to repair the installation of Battlefield?

Pain in my arse. Was working fine before the update which seems to have strawberry floated me over.

Felt compelled to give this another go tonight but I can't get into any matches. Anyone know what is going on?

I haven't played this game for weeks now. And I feel dirty for saying, I haven't missed it? Well, I certainly didn't give BF4 such a wide berth as I've given this game? Which is odd as I do love it?

Got the PC update and noticed shots weren't hitting enemies. I was literally standing next to people and not getting any points even for a slight hit. Other times fine, but I had to quit as it was like everyone was invincible. Hopefully just a little bug and other people have got it too otherwise no idea what's happened.

This game is nowhere near as good as Battlefield 4.
The vehicles are a particular lowlight with nothing being anywhere near as fun as the light attack chopper with a decent pilot and engineer.

As opposed to being snipped again and again on the wide open maps of Battlefield 1?

Like you say, even the vehicles arn't fun to use. I sure do love that narrow field of vision >_> The maps are probably my biggest disappointment though, got to be the dullest it's ever been.

Noticed with Battlefront as well, the series seems to be being watered down, bad time to be a Battlefield fan.

Do what I do, Snipe back OR get behind them and shovel 'em to death, the trolling mini chopper of B4 was more or less invincible.

It wasn't, you just needed team work and a bunch of Stingers.
