I need to give this another go.

Bought it day 1 and was frankly a little disappointed, haven't played it since then.

Which version did you buy? I'm looking for squad members to help get my last two stamps.

Why were you disappointed? No Girls Aloud?

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Anyone in for tonight then?

If not I'll play Shadow Complex or Trials HD and then watch True Blood before calling it a night.

Anyone still playing this? Fed up of having to play with teams full of snipers...

I so do. :(

But I do not have access to my Xbox right now.

And when I do it'll be Firefight all the way.

Yo, Chimbo!

I'll play you later if you want... say... 3pm onwards?
Maybe we can get Bunches to play too.

Battlefield 1943 premium DLC coming, possible sequel

Battlefield's Executive Producer has told OXM UK that premium DLC for Battlefield 1943 is the 'natural step to take.'

Karl-Magnus Troedsson spoke about future plans for the downloadable hit, revealing future DLC when OXM press him on the possibility of a sequel to Battlefield 1943.

"We will see more of those in the future? We'll see," he explained. "As a franchise, we're going to focus on the near future but that doesn't exclude that we can do more of these smaller products in the near future.

"However, there's one important piece to this puzzle, and that's that we need to take care of our products post-launch. We haven't released any premium DLC for 1943, for instance, which feels like a natural step to take."

Another 6 maps would go down a storm in this game. It's actually pretty good but the small number of maps got old REALLY quickly.

Its about bloody time they made some sort of statement regarding DLC. It might be a case of too little too late with Bad Company 2 just around the corner though.

BC2 is made by DICE too isn't it? Maybe they concentrated on that and now are getting around to this. Lazy bastards! :x

For myself, the limited number of maps are what made it so enjoyable and I think it was a deliberate decision to keep the game small and simple. BF1943 is a great game for people who want to play an online FPS, but don't have the time to learn loads of maps inside-out.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I personally got a bit bored of the rather limited nature of the game. Three maps, somtimes you will get the same one for two or three matches in a row.., not particularly fair match making. Would imagine it wouldn't take too much effort to include some sort of a deathmatch mode. The fact there was only three classes was an odd one, it was good in sense but I think it got old quickly.. I thought that tanks in general were ridiculously hard to take down unless you were a sniper with some C4. I didn't feel the matchmaking process was particularly fair, I'd regularly see a team of low ranks coming up against a team of higher ranks. I also experienced the worst case of collision detection I've ever seen online in this game, I must have sniped some guy 5 times in the head. He was standing there sniping at other people and none of the hits registered  . You get this in all games of course and it's probably down to lag but it didn't make the incident any less annoying.
