The end of IV is insane, I need to watch it on YouTube to see the battle going on in the background as I didn't see any of it while playing.

I sat there slack jawed at that. The last game to make me do that was The Wonderful 101.

Platinum Games. They are one hell of a developer.

Father Balder from the first game was my favorite boss battle (in like...ever). Just ridiculously epic and an excellent climax to a game [spoilered in case people are playing the 1st from the 2 pack who haven't before]

Fighting on the collapsing rubble for an exploding skyscraper as you throw attacks, buildings and satellites at each other

I was worried this wouldn't come close...but on chapter 8 and it's come very very close already! Mainly the Masked Lumen battles...but bloody hell feels intense. Can't even think how they'll keep topping it, but they manage.

Anyone know how many Chapters there are?

Forgot how bad I am at these types of games, Stone Awards :fp:

I like the fighting but everything in between just doesn't really grab me, probably why the first got traded soon after finishing. Not the games fault really though, but there is an awful lot of chatter to get through.

Chapter X  and I'm finished for the day. Still not sure which I like the most - this or W101. I'm not going to choose, just two masterpieces.

7th place in the UK chart this week. That's pretty good I suppose, but part of me was hoping that with no big new releases this week, it could have got higher. Certainly not the disaster that W101's sales were.

I think The Wonderful 101 excels in some ways over Bayo 2 and vice versa. The gameplay is tighter in Bayo 2, no doubt, but the scenarios in W101 are better than Bayo 2's. I knew Bayo 2's finale would not top W101's, because nothing ever will. It is a really tough call. I love both these games.

Started 3rd Climax last night. I'll see how this goes. I don't see myself being able to beat it without item grinding. I'm not looking forward to fighting some of the enemies.

Going to use up a sizeable Computer Exchange Voucher and get Bayonetta 2 - does it come with a discount for Bayonetta 1?

Not sure you do. I think that's an eShop thing. You have to buy the double pack if you want both from a store.

I'm up to chapter 9 on 3rd climax. The second Balder boss fight has been the hardest thing in the game so far, but all the other stuff has been easy enough.

What equipment are you all using? Rakshasa/Alrune combo for my main, Bow and Arrow/chainsaws for my B type.

Finished first playthrough on 2nd climax. Now I feel I'm ready to play the early chapters properly and get my ranks up.

It's a great game, and I really enjoyed the ending although it didn't top W101's - but I don't think anything ever will!

Despite playing this before Bayo 1 I caught on to the story fine. So, I'm going to play this one again and then start Bayo 1.

Platinum

Good man

I've nearly finished 3rd climax. Finding it on par with normal mode on Bayo 1.

Here's some bonus pics of the gallery. Spoilers and all that.

3rd Climax down. That wasn't too bad. The reward for doing it

I'm done. What a great game.

Came through the post yesterday and will give it a go over the weekend! What difficulty should I play this on? I'm not the best at these type of games - can the difficulty be adjusted midway through the game?

I think 2nd Climax is meant to be the normal difficulty mode so it might be best for you to start on that. And you can change the difficulty between stages.
