Even the original Starfox?

Provided Nintendo keep an eye on the project it should be fine. Bayonetta is one of the best games of this generation, they have form.

I just remembered how gooseberry fool the missile stuff in Bayonetta was, perhaps its best Nintendo just do it :shifty:

It wasn't that bad, it was just a nice little idea that shouldn't have been stretched out across a whole level. As an intro to a proper level it would have been fine, but it was stretched out way too long. The game wasn't a rail shooter (obviously) so I would expect a whole game designed around those principles to be significantly better.

Still I think I'd rather see a Sega-Nintendo collaboration in the F-Zero GX mould. F-Zero GX was amazing.

You don't need to wait for a new Starfox.

Just buy Lair.

It's all kinds of awesome!

I'm also in this camp, particularly due to the multiplayer. While I would like to think that an internally developed Nintendo Star Fox could nail the "out of the Arwing" moments, I wouldn't mind a compromise of the single player being all Arwing and the multiplayer having the running-around vehicle changing stuff. Namco didn't build the best engine for the game either, so I bet Nintendo could really bump up the scale if they built their own one for the Wii. Flying the Arwing or using the Landmaster in the out-of-vehicle levels didn't work because the levels were just too small for them, and the levels weren't tightly enough designed to suit on-foot combat either, so simply making the levels much larger could solve a lot of the problems with it.

Heh.

I've actually thought Lair would be a good candidate for the largely defunct 'GRcade Endures' thread. It really doesn't look like it should be as bad as the press it received.
