Tell me about it. Facebook keeps showing me "memories" from my travels and it's horrible.

I haven't travelled as such native done several fly drives and multistops. My fondest memory is after breaking up with a girlfriend my best friend paid to change the name on the flights and we drove San Francisco-LA-Las Vegas. It's kind of sad looking back as each year it feels like we've grown a little bit further appart but that trip was awesome.

For me it has to be travelling, my tour of Switzerland/Italy last summer was a particular highlight, as was a trip down the Rhine in 2015.

Closer to home, visiting The View From The Shard on it's opening weekend was pretty neat.

I turned the “on this day” thing off pretty quickly after coming back from my year away and starting work. It was too depressing.

I did this except Vegas to San Fran to LA and that’s definitely up there for me.

Assuming you went down highway 1 and Big Sue from SF to LA? That’s definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done. We had a convertible mustang, music blasting and an amazing sunset when we went down. Had to keep stopping every 20 mins to change drivers as there was 3 of us and we all wanted to drive :slol:

Leaving home was the best thing I ever did. I went from being physically and emotionally abused every day to living in a place of my own in the space of a few months, and I'm so much happier now. It's been four and a half years since I last had contact with my mum and elder brother, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I'm fairly limited in what I can do physically but I'm quite glad that I got to visit places like the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the Salvador Dali museum in Figueras and other interesting places in France and Spain.

My proudest moment however is from my childhood when after years of being bullied by one of my cousins (He used to trip me up, wait until I'd struggled to get back up then do it again repeatedly) I finally snapped and punched him in the face, knocking him off his feet and giving him a bloody nose. After that day he never bullied me again.

For me it's simple things.

I recall hooning it down a hill on the back of my mate's bicycle (there were only a few bikes) in French countryside trying to catch a train to somewhere from La Linde, which never came. It was a warm evening and the sun was setting slowly. The breeze and the smell of the air was very pleasant. And I haven't seen this guy in ages, many fond memories of band practice.

And it was the last time I saw my grandfather too. So things like that.

Fushimi Inari in Kyoto and Japan in general was pretty special too. I'll go back.

I could list a lot of things I have done that I am very proud of, but I guess the main thing is raising my daughter.

After my at the time wife assaulted me and threatend our child I left took our kid with me and left, I went to court which eventually lead to me winning custody. I raised her as a single dad. I'm proud of her in general she's nearly 16 doing very well in school and works at a charity shop and I'm proud of myself for doing my best to make sure she's had a decent shot at things.

Good man.

It's a great question, I'm not really sure. Spent a couple years of my life on drugs and realistically in a sense one of those experiences was probably the best I've ever felt. Not much to look back on though, high on mescaline, shrooms, e and meph while sat on a couch.

I think opening the throttle on a jeep on Fraser Island having just slept with a hot Scandinavian and surrounded by new friends. The sense of freedom and endless opportunity ahead.

For me, almost certainly when I went cycling across Europe and sort-of-Asia. The whole trip is made up of a string of once in a lifetime cool gooseberry fool, some of which I have I probably wouldn't believe if I wasn't there. Totally changed me as a person, as well.

Also up there is having a partner as amazing as I have. It sounds pretty gay but I didn't think I'd ever be able to love someone as much as I do her. That has also changed me as a person.

Travelling around Japan. It was something I put off for years until I plucked up the courage to do it. I've been several times and still haven't had my fill of the country.

Also going to court to see the guy who slept with my ex-wife go on trial for assault.

Getting my GP to listen to me and get proper help to deal with my anxiety. I wouldn't say I'm better (I still get anxiety) but I've been given the tools to deal with and work through it. I know it might sound a bit daft but every time I do something simple like go to a place I've never been before or a music gig I feel a real sense of achievement.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

That's awesome :D

I genuinely don't know where the strength came from, I could still walk then but wasn't as strong as most other kids so I was just as shocked as he was. Felt good man.

For me it was my first ever holiday to Bavaria when I was 18/19, it doesn’t sound like very much of a great thing I know but it was what it did for my life and how it has shaped my life since,

Firstly it was my first time traveling abroad on my own, so that gave me confidence, it made me see a place that I completely fell in love with that so much so I ended up buying a house there years later, it made me realise my sexuality fully and from that I was able to move and be honest with people firstly my friends and then family, I met someone who even today is very important to me, it fuelled my love of travel and since have been to many other regions and countries,

The most bizarre part was that I wasn’t even intending to go to Bavaria or even Germany, I was going to Moscow and St Petersburg but there was not enough time for my visa to come through so after talking to the travel agent she recommended Munich
