I thought this was one of the best, most interesting looking games at E3 (2013).

Hey folks! It might seem like ages ago, but E3 was crazy for us. Phil Spencer walked out on stage at Microsoft’s press conference in a Capy shirt and introduced a teaser trailer for our newest game, BELOW. Later that week we showed another trailer for Below as a part of HORIZON (which was the greatest). The reaction from fans, press and colleagues was amazing – we’re so glad that you’re all as excited about Below as we are.
However, because of the way the game was announced & discussed in the press, there was naturally a little bit of confusion after the dust settled. And that confusion stuck around. So, to clear things up, we wanted to take a quick second and answer your number one question:
Like many games on stage at E3, Below will be available on the Xbox One first. Then, after a period of time, CAPY can bring it elsewhere. It’s always been this way.

Good news for people not jumping in with the Xbone.

Microsoft are no longer publishing this according to the latest issue of Edge. It sounds like it's coming to Steam the same day as the Xbox One version now. New trailer:

Why is everyone so keen on this? It looks nice but from the two videos there's like 10 seconds of doing something other than walking in a straight line and it looks like mediocre combat.

Perhaps because that isn't actually what it is.

Its apparently supposed to basically be a 2D Demon/Dark Souls like game. Its super hardcore, one hit kills, a survival system, if you die you come back as a new character, limited item carrying abilities. Progress is persistent and you can pick up the items of previously fallen characters.

Hopefully this will hit PS4 around the same time as the other versions if Microsoft are no longer publishers

Looks good. I like the mellow and broody atmosphere compared to dark souls which can be a little intense at times. It's also nice to see a lot of what's going on around you and appreciate some 2d art. Will keep an eye on it. Inevitable sale/humble purchase if it's good.

Jeff recounts his hands-on time at PAX East with CapyGames' upcoming title, Below. It was truly one of the most exciting indy games at the show.

Can't see what's going on in those gameplay videos. Why is it all so tiny?

This relatively small studio have only just released a game in the last month, its not surprising this isn't coming soon.

The new footage doesn't look any different from what we saw in it's debut trailer last year.
