Some sort of redemption (and embarassment avoided) - Benchmark is voted joint sixth best new gameshow of the year out of sixty that came out this year at UKGameshows (and avoided the dreaded five worst).

I saw that and was very confused, it is like they didn't get the idea that it would be a rating of best to worst in itself so ran 2 polls.

They really did, Harry Hill is fine on You've Been Framed and TV Burp but Star was meant to be about the singers and song not him!

The problem was people seemed really pleased to see Stars In Their Eyes back. The first two or three minutes when Harry Hill was just being the host and introducing the show were actually great, then we had the first contestant VT, until......we saw the living room set ready for his 'skits'. :dread:

TBF, I did actually attend the Stars In Their Eyes Grand Final and it was pretty good, just got the tone (disastrously) wrong.

***UPDATE***

So some news - I have started production on a new gameshow which as long as it survives the pilot stage (which it should) will be on your tellybox this summer. Might be the first of a couple, but we'll see how it goes.
