Best anti-virus software/setup these days?

I've used AVG in the past but I prefer Avast. Can't really remember why but I think it's less of a system hogger (?), amongst other things.


Is my setup excessive on a Windows 8.1 system?

Should confess I also have Malwarebytes on top of the programs above. Malwarebytes never seems to detect anything and Avast only occasionally claims to block threats.

If you online bank with Barclays you can get Kaspersky for free.
