I forgot about Wes Anderson, love his movies, especially the brilliant Grand Budapest Hotel.

Why do you say this? Nolan's a great director.

I found Basterds to be overlong and pretty dull at times, same goes for Django Unchained.

Kill Bill 1, Pulp Fiction and Dogs were all top films, but his recent output just hasn't been up to scratch (plus there's the fact that Death Proof remains one of the worst films i have ever seen)

Other than not liking Kill Bill (the first is better than the second though), are you me?

Also Death Proof is a good film, fight me

I am not going to argue it is a great movie, but that's either ridiculous hyperbole or you haven't seen many movies.

Death Proof is one of the poorest of Tarantino's movies, but it's not all that bad.

Death Proof is cool. I like how it and Grindhouse are their own little isolated pockets, but work as a unit. I think they hit their b-movie target really well.

Death Proof is very weak as a standalone movie, and I would say is the worst thing that Tarantino has done, but it's far from being the worst film I have ever seen!

Although that said I don't think I could tell you what WAS the worst film I have ever seen - that would need some pondering...

He's not on the list (and I wouldn't necessarily say he's the best), but I've really enjoyed all three films JC Chandor has directed (especially All is Lost), and looking forward to his next one.

The ending with the car hood chase and then hunt reversal is brilliant, one of my favourite movie car chases

Too right they go on the list.

The list of awesome people with good taste. :datass:

I don't mind it really, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again!

It's not hyperbole, and let me assure you that i've seen enough films over the years to know the difference between good, bad, and really bad movies.

Death Proof was so awful and i hated it so much that it now belongs in my own metaphorical movie room 101 alongside irredeemable garbage such as Rubber, VHS, Disaster Movie, Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas, Yogi Bear, and The Innkeepers.

Funny thing is, i actually liked Planet Terror.

And you just invalidated your right to have an opinion.

Lock him up Karl, we don’t need this type on the forum. :dread:

Haha I did see your post OR and found it somewhat uncanny.

Also DJ/Vermillion being wrong about films, what a surprise. ;)

It was definitely garbage, but unlike Death Proof, it was fun garbage.
