I need to rewatch it, the only thing I really remember properly is that tune someone whistled which I'm pretty sure is a slowed down version of the hamster dance.

I think you need to watch the film again. :D

It's one of the worst films on that list. :fp:

This is worse than the time someone suggested Cars was the best Disney film.

No it's not.

Anyway, my list is Jungle Book, Robin Hood and Lady and the Tramp.

Jungle Book is the clear winner of this group.

I think both Jungle Book and Robin Hood were pretty sloppily-made Disney films. At least Jungle Book has some fun songs and stuff.

I mean, Robin Hood a better film than Dumbo, Bambi and Pinocchio?

I need to watch Dumbo again. I always hated it as a kid. I found it so boring, but all I remember from it now is the weird racist crows.

Results are in! Sorry, I'm in Thailand right now so a combination of wobbly internet, having to use iPad to copy and paste which is a giant chore, and general laziness has contributed to me being a bit late with this.

Group 1 Results:

The Jungle Book (1967) - 20% [ 33 ]
Robin Hood (1973) - 12% [ 20 ]
Dumbo (1941) - 8% [ 13 ]
Bambi (1942) - 8% [ 13 ]

Pinocchio (1940) - 6% [ 10 ]
Peter Pan (1953) - 6% [ 10 ]

Fantasia (1940) - 5% [ 9 ]
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - 5% [ 9 ]
Lady and the Tramp (1955) -5% [ 8 ]
The Sword in the Stone (1963) - 5% [ 8 ]
The Aristocats (1970) - 4% [ 7 ]
The Rescuers (1977) - 4% [ 7 ]
Alice in Wonderland (1951) - 3% [ 5 ]
PThe Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) - 3% [ 5 ]
One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) - 2% [ 4 ]
Cinderella (1950) - 2% [ 3 ]
Sleeping Beauty (1959) - 2% [ 3 ]

The titles in green are through to the final with the titles in red being eliminated. Pinocchio and Peter Pan are tied for 5th place so I'll create a 1 day poll for them to have a head to head along with the 3 day poll for Group 2.

Group 2 voting is now up - vote here

There's also a tie break between Pinocchio and Peter Pan to see who goes through as the 5th place film from Group 1- vote here

Just realised I was supposed to pick three options and not just one :fp: thus the survey is now null and void.

Also realised the other day you've actually missed quite a lot of Disney films off your list.

EDIT - Yes I know I'm being pedantic again, but you really should use the word animated in the topic title and vote.

The word animated is there in the first post.

All of the live action Disney films are a bit gooseberry fool anyway and don't deserve to be considered when voting for the best Disney film.

Well, most of them.

I honestly might have voted for either Bedknobs and Broomsticks or One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing...or of course Mary Poppins if there had been the option.

Of course the first two might just be based on childhood memories rather than how good the films actually are.

EDIT - Of course in the 80s and 90s you'd have the option of the likes of Tron, Fight of the Navigator, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Cool Runnings.

That strawberry floating chimney sweep song goes on for far, far too long. I'll see you Mary Poppins and raise you Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
