Best External Hard Drive For Xbox 360

With the recent update allowing external hard drives to be used on the 360, I was thinking of getting hold of one to get all my downloads in one place.

Thing is, I'm not entirely sure which ones work. Is there a good 2TB one that will work well?

I got a 1TB Toshiba Stor.E Plus portable drive back in April that works fine with my 360.

Not sure there are any that just won't work, I got that one purely because it was available for £40 at the time.

Only other thing I would say is to consider if you actually need a 2TB drive.

External hard drives are much of a muchness to be honest. Consider whether you'll want a portable one though, they will power via the USB port as opposed to needing to be plugged in all the time. That'll cost you around £10 extra.

Apart from that I'd just go to Amazon and see which one is cheapest. Any of the big brands (Seagate, Samsung, WD etc) will do the trick just fine.

EDIT - I have this one. Had to go through my Amazon history to find out, since I'd forgotten what it looks like. It just sits behind my Xbox One and works flawlessly.

Can a PS3 do this?

Nope, you can replace the internal HDD in a PS3 though, its the same as a PS4.

EDIT - To be clear you can't use it for installing games on like you can on the 360 and Xbox One.

That's a shame. I have a 500GB PS3 and was hoping to increase the storage as I can see it becoming full in the future.
