I wouldn't say WW is significantly more accessible than Ocarina, and arguably motion controls make SS more accessible than a traditional controller. I can see arguments against the others for accessibility though:

MM - expects you to have played OoT
TP - very slow to start
BOTW - difficulty and complexity

What makes you put Fallout 4 over 3 or New Vegas?

I love it for the settlement building mechanics, but if someone could only play one of the games I would always, always recommend New Vegas

For me it was just the more basic elements like improved graphics and gameplay.

I've not played most of these games but you're still wrong.
on every count! :P

Actually I'll give you Gears 2 - I've only played the first 2 and the second was definitely better!

Does it? There are some references to OoT, particularly at the start of the game, but you don't really need to be familiar with the story of OoT or its characters.

On the subject of which Zelda games are the most accessible though, I also wouldn't say WW is much more accessible than OoT. The early Forsaken Fortress segment is a bit of a drag and on your first playthrough it's easy to get lost. I really love WW though. It has maybe my favourite story/writing in a Zelda game, and my favourite characterisation of Ganondorf.

Initial hurdles or other issues make it hard to say which of the 3D Zeldas are more accessible, I actually would say it might be Skyward Sword because of its linearity and the guidance you get throughout the game (even if I don't rate the game too highly). TP is also pretty easy to get to grips with, but yeah the slow start could be off-putting to some.

Personally I'd generally recommend BotW. Asides from being great I think its openness broadens its appeal. It can be difficult and complex in parts yeah, but you can always just wander off elsewhere and explore/do something else. Become stronger or more skilled/equipped in the meantime before going back to what you were struggling with. And great plateau is a fun little area that's not too difficult to start off with. BoTW probably isn't even my favourite Zelda - it's probably MM - but that's what I'd recommend.

I dunno, I'm finding the motion controls in Skyward Sword a bit of a mission at the moment. Not all the time, but for the moments you've got to get Link to swing in a very particular way (took me ages to get the hang of the Deku Baba's with dodgy mouths), and I had to really really really concentrate to get past Gaggarahagahim's solid hand in the first boss fight. It never seems to work as well in practise as you think it should.

EDIT: Also you take way more damage than you should. Not sure if that's just to make you keep using the potion shop or what.

Maybe, when they work properly anyway! I do think some of the sword mechanics can be quite tricky to get right.

It is probably a close run thing between WW and OoT to be fair but I think WW edges it in terms of difficulty and also how well its aged. I also think as you go on with OoT it does get pretty hard at points (Water Temple :dread: ) whereas I don't think there's any point in WW where a newcomer to the series would find themselves put off by the level of challenge.

As a kid I found the save system in MM to be hugely off putting when I first played it but that may just have been me!

I never really liked Majoras Mask that much, i found it incredibly difficult at times.

A lot of people loved it, but things about it just never really clicked for me.
