What do people have against Jackie Brown? I'm not saying it should win but it's too good to go out now. I mean it's a film where conversations about bags are more entertaining than many films in their entirety!

It's a fantastic film and it goes in a refreshingly different direction to most of Tarantino's work. Likeable characters that you root for, but still with the sense of peril thanks to Samuel L Jackson's brilliant turn.

People need to realise actual credible films aren't going at this point - regardless of personal taste. Lets ringfence weaker films and attack them first.

I noticed that too. There is always one.

I've never actually watched United 93 so can't comment on how good/bad it is, but I like the idea of it going out in 93rd so I'd like to change my vote from Shrek to United 93.
