Is The Cable Guy any good? IMDB has it at 6.1.

It's pretty decent, yeah. Quite dark humoured, and a turn away from the Jim Carrey comedies of the time. I think that's why it gets a bit of a bad rep.

This.

Love Jim Carrey's more sinister/villainous roles, his portrayal of the Riddler is literally the only decent thing about Batman Forever.

I sort-of agree, though there's nothing sinister about The Riddler in that movie( :slol: ) and I also like Tommy Lee Jones going completely OTT as Two-Face.

Actually I like Batman Forever, it's camp and rubbish but it's kinda nostalgic nowadays.

Batman Forever looks like a masterpiece thanks to Batman and Robin.

The one with Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr Freeze veers even closer to the 60's Batman series - Its utter gooseberry fool though.

Hopefully the record will stay broken for a long while yet :P I love the LotR series, RotK is one of my all-time favourite films

I don't get why people are homing in on Return of the King, if you're desperate to get rid of a LotR film surely you'd argue the Two Towers is the weakest of them. They're all great though.

Outrageous nonsense!

Fellowship is overly long in establishing the story, RotK is too long in finishing the story. Two Towers has Helm's Deep :datass:

Fellowship is my favourite. Love all the pre-rivendell stuff with the hobbits and Strider, then you get the team together for a spell and you have Boromir and the Amon Hen fight. Magic.

Imdb is with me in ranking the Two Towers last :shifty:

Two towers is massively put down by the Aragorn /Arwen dream shite. And the ents taking their time to do anything. (Although made up for by the final march of the ents)

The Cable Guy is a damn fine film, a lot of people went in to it expecting Ace Ventura style silliness and didn't know how to handle the darker tone.

It's okay, that's about it. I didn't go in expecting anything in particular, other than to be entertained. It managed that well enough but is in no way a top 100 movie.
