That's true.

When I was going regularly (I hope to go back soon) it would be my local running club yearly subs.

I think it was £35 at last count which includes 2 training sessions a week. Free entry to a local cross country races in the autumn/winter. Use of club house/facilities. Reductions on entry fees to local races.

None of the streaming services are good value because the things I actually want to watch are too diluted across them all.

None of the gaming services are good value because their price is inflated by non-optional extras when all I want to do is play online.

My garden bin subscription is ok I suppose.

My gym subscription is by far the best value, for everything I get out of it.

Games Pass is good value for me as I haven't paid any cash for it since 2019. And then it was only £1.

It probably is the garden bin to be fair. I've seen the queues at the tip, I'm quite happy to pay to not have to go there every time we mow the lawn or whatever

This really thread really deserved a poll. The Garden bin is miles out in the lead.

Garden bin is definitely the best here because it's included in the base Game Pass Council Tax sub :toot:

I've only had TV subs to Neftflix (maybe two years in total overall) and Disney+ (maybe eighteen months in total overall). I chop and change between the two fairly regularly; right now I have Disney but I'm thinking of changing. I'd guess that most TV subscription services were better value a few years ago than they are now and, with the increasing nuber of competing services, I'd imagine that this will continue.

I've never paid for Amazon Prime - for me, the ability to have free delivery supersedes wanting to pay out for next day delivery.

I'm currently paying for PlayStation Plus Essential. I'd rather not - I'm not interested in the "free" game loans - but I want to have online play capability. I also currently pay for Fallout 1st; I was paying annually (best value) but I'm currently on £11.99 monthly (as I *might* stop it at some point).

Overall, I'd say that - out of my current subs - Disney+ at £7.99 is the best value.

The best value sub I pay for it the one which provides me with the additional Firestick services.

Just like gaming over the last 30+ years.

Is that where you came up with the idea of having your horn blown?

Netflix, maybe? It has a handful of Korean and Japanese shows that I wouldn't be able to watch otherwise. I don't really subscribe to anything else, I'm too lazy to swap and change for a tiny handful of shows I might be interested in. I don't subscribe to music streaming for various reasons. As much as anything there are bands I like that aren't on streaming platforms and I've also had stuff removed from my playlists. I use it mainly to discover new artists or listen to stuff where I've been unable to find physical or digital copies to buy

Garden bin. All that waste, gone, for a yearly fee of £20? Now that's value!
