I wasn't able to view the conference live, but have now just finished watching it. I've have to say it was fantastic!
Much as I enjoy the Microsoft and Sony conferences the speakers always seem to have an air of rigidity about them - perhaps they recognise the pressure to get things right. Peter Hines and Todd Howard both came across as genuinely enthusiastic and because they had a lot to show which hadn't been revealed before it felt personal to them.
Doom actually looked so good, large levels with a ton of thought put into their design.
The Dishonored 2 trailer makes me want to give the first game a try.
Fallout 4 - seems truly epic and it deserved this massive stage to reveal it. I'm not sure what to think about the base building feature. For me I like that Fallout is about going out and exploring a world and there also being Megaton with familiar faces. With the base building you have to defend against attackers so I don't know if it becomes like a tower defence game within a game. Don't get me wrong it looks really good. I did think they were going to show us a multiplayers version of it where you fight against other players. Good stuff!
