Meals being served at staggered times, you poor wee thing, I've no idea how your group managed that situation, it sounds awful but if you all ate your meals you should have paid for them.

If I ran a restaurant and in any situation you've mention, you refused to pay I'd force you to pay and ban you, so I wouldn't have to worry about you coming back.

On a side note, if you find a hair in your food and you send it back and don't ask / don't get a replacement serving then fine don't pay for it.

Sorry, didn’t realise it was my job to please the businesses I patronize. Guess it’s a good thing you don’t own a restaurant then - it would be gooseberry fool and your reviews would suck.

Incidentally, HOW do you think you would force me to pay?
Yes I'm sure my restaurant would be gooseberry fool because I wasn't giving free meals out to self entitled idiots.

I'd simply phone the police, how esle do you think?

No, dumbass, your restaurant would be gooseberry fool because you obviously don't care about the views of your customers. Bad reviews = bad business.

And what will the police do? Force me to pay, else arrest me for non-payment of my restaurant bill? Would it be theft? They'd record the incident and you'd have to take me to court, where I'd dispute your claim all the way.

...and I'm done.

Oh you mean I'd get bad reviews from someone who felt they deserved a free meal for some very pendantic reasons, yeah I truly am the dumbass in this scenario.

I'm pretty sure leaving a restaurant without paying would be considered theft and it would be on you to challenge the restaurant.

…so is Fallout 76 sub-£20 yet? I'm thinking of playing it, then complaining and getting my money back.

Not gonna lie. I'm mainly on mic's side on this food thing.

Yes, don't act like a fudgesicle when you complain but still, it's arguably worse to stay silent.

Expect certain standards, tell people (politely) when they aren't met even though you understand they are working under tough circumstances, and hope they improve their game for the future. Or else there will be a stack of people following behind who secretly thought the same thing, said nothing, never went back and told all their friends not to go back either.

And, so, back to Fallout 76. It seems they have fallen below certain standards...they've no doubt done their best under tough circumstances... but ultimately, if they didn't up their game would you recommend it to a friend?

:D Surprised to see you still on here as well, old chum, causing controversy as ever.

I expect you're stoked about the RE2 remake (You were a huge RE fan, right, or have I misremembered that?)

Spot on, as always. The only question is whether I settle for ps4 in 1080p, or massively tart up my ageing pc? If anything deserves it, it's that game! Shame, really - there seems to be lots of unpleasantness in the making, in the form of microtransactions. Apparently, you have to buy the in-game music! What's the world coming to, etc?

Ah, nuts. Stupid nowadays.

In that case, I shall simply buy it on PS4 and then just walk around Raccoon city humming the music to myself.

Looking forward to the thread.

I found the crashed space station today, that was a very cool location. I also spent ages going round a water park.

I killed my first Wendigo too. Those things are frightening :dread:

Bethesda haven't strawberry floated up with Fallout 76 in a little while, so they're putting some effort in,

Fallout 76 players say the Atom shop prices are getting out of hand
£16 for a Christmas bundle of virtual items! £14 for a giant camp sign! A tenner for some Christmas emotes! There's new gubbins on sale at Fallout 76's Atom shop - and players reckon they're getting ripped off.

People need to stop spending money on microtransactions, and Bethesda need to stop selling them

As if this move wasn't the plan all along: release an online game with cosmetic microtransactions, wait for popularity to soar, add in pay-to-win mechanics, profit.

A shame for Bethesda that stage 2 didn't go so well.

Shareholder profits and brand longevity > quality of individual products or treating customers with anything other than contempt.

I imagine they've done the maths and worked out the piles of money are worth the backlash.
