The rest will be griefers and solo players who shoot on sight. They've mentioned a wanted level, but who gives a gooseberry fool? Every game like this I've ever played has had this problem.

The DayZ problem

When I started playing DayZ I had many great interactions with players, but it just devolved into shoot on sight :(

They've promised that mods will be added....eventually. Most likely there will be specific or private sessions for these.

Tell me about it. The early days of DayZ remains one of the best online experiences I've ever had. It was scary, joyous and...new. Before I quit though it had devolved into what would eventually become PUBG.

It’s the problem with the entire internet. It’s next to impossible to stop people being arseholes on Facebook where they are using their real names and where their entire family can see it. You have no chance of stopping them in an anonymous online game.

I suppose I'm one sense, no NPC's makes sense.
It's very soon after the bombs fells.. after that amount of time, you won't have settlers, raiders and gangs etc..

But at the same time... The NPC characters were one of the highlights. They had some fantastic characters in the past games.

Not sure on this. Gutted.

Starting to warm up to this now that I've learned that it won't be straight up PVP everywhere. If you wanna fight, you've gotta challenge another player and have them accept.

Construction griefing might be another matter though. :dread:

"Don't wanna fight? Fine, I'll build this big wall around your gooseberry fool."

Except that it will, and it was confirmed during the conference.

Presumably there will be some restrictions, though? I can't imagine they'll want players modding in infinite nuke launchers, or nude character models in a multiplayer game.

I imagine they'll be specified servers for modded games.

It hasn't got Mods at launch and apparently anyone that are may be in the 'creation club'.

I expect the next post to be “the game is just ONE GIANT MOD”

Sorry I didn't read every article but checked after it was pointed out that they are coming to fallout 76.

It is the fallout 4 multiplayer mod, made standalone.

Seriously though, if this does have mod enabled servers, it'll be amazing for the sheer chaos they'll be. Players playing as giant waifu mechs, versus the Macho Man Randy Savage dragon from Skyrim, and someone else running around with a gun that spawns the madness from FO3 that just yell "Gary".
