Actually comes with thin plasticky nylon bag.

Bethesda don't seem to care:

"Too expensive"

I love the ‘we aren’t planning to do anything about it’ even more.

If that was the bag advertised when purchased, then you’d be due a refund in the UK if you so desired.

Maybe someone will take Bethesda on Judge Judy to get their money back.

"We aren't planning on doing anything about it"

Terrible emails by both parties, should have asked to return it for a refund

It'd have to be really, really objectively bad. As the article states food can be a subjective experience.

I still think you'd have a hard time walking out and not paying after having eaten something you considered to be bad. I can't believe many people ever actually do that.

I’ve done it loads. Because the mains weren’t all served at the same time. Because I found a hair in my burger. Because we didn’t like it. We usually just pay for drinks.

Wait wait wait. Even for someone of my cynical standing that email looks fake as strawberry float.

Is there a confirmation that this is genuine?

EDIT; https://www.gamespot.com/articles/fallo ... 0-6463520/

Apparently it's real. Jeez.

The game shown in the media was a prototype and was too expensive to make.

We aren’t planning on doing anything about it.

It pisses me off that they think giving away a few quid of their pretend-currency that costs them fuck-all is suitable compensation.

This gaming generation is Madness.

Bethesda attempting to palm the blame off to someone else.

As for the customer service staff member behind the curt reply, Bethesda said they're "a temporary contract employee and not directly employed by Bethesda or Bethesda Game Studios".

You employed them, it's your responsibility to make sure they treat customers accordingly. What wankers Bethesda truly are.

I'm struggling to think of a AAA release where everything has gone this wrong. Even the fiascos with NMS and Driveclub were based around games that were good at their core.

What it has done is highlighted, without question, what a bunch of shysters Bethesda are.

I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed. I thought (naively) that Bethesda were above this sort of thing. Guess not.

As exploration games, No Man's Sky got more in the way of itself than Fallout 76 does. The survival aspects of NMS are a lot more overbearing in the constant need to gather resources and manage inventory, although fundamentally the mechanics aren't that far apart with the food and drink meters and resource collecting in 76.

The major difference in approach as exploration games is procedural versus designed, as well as the obvious thematic differences. I'm probably slightly more of a post-apocalypse fan than pulp sci-fi, although I am a big fan of both, and I appreciate the differing benefits of both procedural and designed.

"At its core" depends on your definition of the core design I guess!

An insult to reusable jute shopping bags that sell for a few quid.
