This is what I'm thinking. Especially given how much their showing the relationship between Mike and the foreman (can't remember his name).

I actually thought it before the foreman strawberry floated up, as soon as Mike walked into the strip club and looked annoyed (which is his usual face to be fair :lol:

), I thought that the Germans are all going to end up dead. Kai and the foreman then just confirmed it to me with their actions during the episode.

Yeah's there's no way these Germans are getting out of this alive.

Our breaking bad rewatch seems to be perfectly in poetry.gif with this. We've just watched box cutter, and the parallel is Gus' guy in the lab going to Gale's house And he asks if he was spotted, to which he replies yes but it doesn't matter. Gus then comes in and kills him (And Mike is so shocked he pulls his gun on Gus).

There's always the possibility that Kim and Saul were still together during Breaking Bad, we just never saw it.

Caught up with the last episode now, some great moments but I still can't shake the feeling that some of the rigour that once went into the story and plotting of the show has been lost this year.

I found it increasingly difficult to rationalise the behaviour of both Kim and Jimmy in this latest episode.

It was certainly fun to watch it all play out, but it didn't make much sense in my view!

I think it's just showing that Jimmy is a deviant and he enjoys it. Kim is in love with Jimmy and she wants to do the pro bono work, and she's pissed off with the cunty prosecutor for pursuing over the top jail terms for what should be a misdemeanour (hitting an unknown person with a bag of sandwiches, come on!). So she wants to get on over on this woman and letting Jimmy do his thing reminds her of the spark in their relationship when they were scamming the guys in the pub, because they obviously haven't been sleeping together since Jimmy didn't seem to care about his brothers death which offset Kim. So now they are entering the romance part of their relationship again by doing some edgy stuff. And that's where they'll probably fall. It's a romance thing and that can never be explained or justified Jen! This is reflective of the kind of strange behaviour people present after grieving as it changes their reflections on life.

Again Chuck strawberry floated Jimmy beyond the grave. Jimmy never really mattered all that much to Chuck. The scene with Kim and Jimmy afterwards was really heartwrenching

The parrellel with our breaking bad rewatch is crazy at the moment. You've had the above origin thing, then in BB we go in to the same home and there is a huge shot of the bell, then we get the flashback of hectors killing gus' partner. Compare that to BCS where we're now seeing Gus slowly exact his revenge.

I'd like to know how Kai was cheating at volleyball?

The scam pulled this week with the Mesa Verde branch fell flat for me. There are no real stakes, because Mesa Verde had already conceded that it would be impossible for Kim to 'pull another rabbit out the hat', and she is firmly in their good books. They're also scamming sitting ducks - it would be nice to see them pull a trick on someone smart, or who they actually underestimate.

It's an escalation of behaviour, scamming just for the thrill of it rather than out of any necessity. The ease with which they are pulling them off is likely going to make them complacent which will contribute to the eventual downfall.

Agreed. Everything Kim has done so far she can justify to herself. She can get the thrill of scamming while also being “moral”. Helping Huell was a good deed as the sentence was way too harsh. Getting Mesa Verde bigger premises was fine because it would please her bosses and it doesn’t really hurt anybody else if the bank is slightly bigger than originally planned.

Jimmy is pushing her to do more though, he wants to make money from it, rather than just helping a guy out or pleasing her boss. I think we all suspect that something will happen to Kim between now and the start of Breaking Bad and so I would imagine that Jimmy will get his way.
