Anyone else think Saul Goodman will be a personal created to get out of being done on a legal loophole?
That was Jimmy McGill on the tape, yes, but I'm Saul Goodman.

No, I think Saul will be born when Jimmy falls out with Kim and he decides to go full criminal.

Because it's so well established this is better than Breaking Bad in terms of being no dud episodes so far. The direction and framing of scenes are stunning.

The only bad episode of Breaking Bad is "The Fly" episode.

However Better Call Saul has turned out better than any of us could have imagined. Fantastic starting episodes.

I concur, this is superb TV.
Even when not a lot happens it is so confident and well-made that you find it riveting. This episode there were at least three long scenes where we're simply watching characters waiting for something. On paper it should be dull but it's not!

2nd episode was god-tier. Loved the long scenes with no dialogue, they were so well done. Chuck is such a bastard. :fp:

I admit I got a little lost with the story of the bug! Had to double check and understand it a bit better.

Other than that, which is my fault, it's been as glorious as I've come to expect. It really is such a well made show and as someone pointed out, even when not much is technically happening it's still gripping. Other shows when there is some kind of lull I get a bit distracted, but not with this.

Also yes, Chuck is a banana split.

Fully expecting Howard to die in a Jimmy related accident before the end of the season.

I love how stiff & robotic Howard is. He's played so well. The way he was jumping while trying to look over the fence had me laughing out loud.

Totally agree. He is a wonderfully crafted character. I like that they've never really explored his life outside of work.

Another brilliant episode. It's a special kind of TV that can make a pair of sneakers on a wire that compelling.

Chuck. :x :x :x

Terrific episode once again. Chuck is a sly ol' banana split. I can definitely see Jimmy becoming Saul by the end of the season, if only by name, at least. Bet this lawsuit will end up ruining the McGill name and that's why he changes it, or Chuck forces him to change it because he doesn't want to be associated with him.

Loved the Mike scenes, too. That was the same doctor from Breaking Bad, right?

How sweet of a gig does Michael Mando have, though? Star-billed on one of the best shows on TV and he appears in about 3 episodes a season.

The only thing I didn't like was Brock showing up. He's like 6 in BB so he shouldn't even be alive in this show

It must be so fun to write Mike scenes. He is such a superb creation.

I could have sworn the mother and kid the doctor was dealing with before Mike was them. GAF put me straight but I swear they look a lot alike at least...

3x04- If he doesn't murder you with a box cutter, Gus is a pretty great boss.

Chuck remains awful.
