Really enjoyed that, the characters we already know appearing was a bit on the nose, especially at the end but I imagine the fan service is nessaary and probably a reason for many to watch at this point. Hopefully it'll become more of its own thing pretty quickly.

Yep, this. Shows a lot of promise.

I've avoided learning too much about the show which made spotting the fan service and seeing characters from BB a nice touch.

I was always fairly confident this would turn out well given the involvement of the original team but I did still have doubts going it.

The pilot was fantastic from beginning to end. I really wasn't expecting us to get any post BB Saul action this early on in the series, never mind the opening scene. Awesome.

+1 for loved it. Looking forward to tomorrows episode now.

Episode 2 is strawberry floating immense! And it has Vaas from Far Cry 3.

I'm enjoying it a lot so far, but I think I will lose interest after season 2 if it is still a prequel at that point as there just isn't the same tension when you know what happens to a character.

Ep2: The scene in the desert was great, but we know Saul doesn't get killed so he has to have two sidekicks with him in order for the scene to have any weight. When Tuco threatens to cut a finger off again we know it doesn't happen. We are always several steps ahead of the action.

Both episodes were excellent, and I trust Vince Gilligan to still throw some surprises at us, but I can't see this being a four+ season show without the timeline quickly overtaking Breaking Bad.

I was gonna say that. I'm sitting watching it thinking "I know that guy. Wow, he looks a lot like Vaas from Far Cry 3." *Checks IMDB "It IS Vaas from Far Cry 3!".

Satriales does speak some truth butI didn't think it harmed that particular scene. I was still on the edge of my seat even though we knew he'd be okay and it ended up being pretty horrific. Much worse than anything I remember from BB.

The 2nd ep was amazing. Loving it so far
