You called me an imbecile, twice

Actually to be fair imbecile is probably as classy an insult as you can get.

Not just the plots, the games in general. Videogames very serious.

I don't get the context of that gif, I presume I'm Jay and you're Manny, and I'm reminding you not to be a berk?

Alpha Protocol is a far better game than Beyond Two Souls.

Fade wrote:People really need to stop attributing everything they don't like about this game to David Cage. It's childish. Yes he's a twat but we all know he didn't make the game on his own.

He wrote the entire thing and directed all the motion capture. Everyone's criticisms about the game are about things Cage was directly responsible for. If people were attributing weak animation or graphical inconsistencies to Cage you might have a point. What people have a problem with is the script, the way the story is structured and its inherent limitations as a narrative-led adventure. That's Cage's fault.

I finally finished this Sunday night. Things get so utterly stupid and nonsensical in the final hour and a half, I pretty much tuned out.

Taken as individual events, parts of the game are extremely good (the whole homeless section being the biggest highlight), but as a cohesive storyline I thought it was terrible. A real waste of acting talent as well.

And then you had stuff like the bad Splinter Cell inspired level, the jumbled controls, and the lack of urgency to anything due to the fact you can't die. But mainly this style of game lives and dies on the story, and if you can't invest or believe in it, or simply don't really care how it ends, that's the game over and done with. It's dead.

I must have really low standards (or I went in with REALLY low expectations) because I'm really enjoying this so far. Granted, the controls are still god awful (Why can't we just move around normally? It feels like I'm controlling tank!) but I'm used to it due to Heavy Rain. Still no excuse for still having rubbish controls.

The story, sure it's not AAA-sort but I'm enjoying it.
I did cringle at birthing scene abit; and the romance with Ryan is bit meh. Still, thank god I don't have to do sex QTE minigame!

Unless it nosedives at end, I don't think it's that bad. Still would rather play Walking Dead Telltale for better storytelling, however.

The stealth bits are woeful, I mean...

I did went through war chapter with no detects, but there's some spots where I don't get. The bit with ladder to roof, there's guy standing there which I can't do anything such as choke, or possess - I spent while trying to find something to distract him, no luck. Went on ladder by accident and he just moved from his spot. WTF? How am I meant to know that.

Also the bit where there's two guys threating three ladies and I choke one of them, other one didn't seem to notice me and just runs away panic... I thought he was going to sound alert but he didn't.

It's not overly amazing but it feels like fairly decent game, maybe 7/10 at best.

Your post does not read like a 7/10 game.

I'm tired, so I didn't really cover the 7/10 enough. To be honest, it's 'strong' 6/10 if that makes sense.

as in leave me alone i'm tired and my english sucks.

Nothing about your English

It's just that you pretty much complained all the way through that post in regards to how bad it is.

I guess he's trying to say that it's a very flawed game but he enjoyed it nevertheless?

I may have to try this game out and see it for myself.

Ah.

I dunno, it does have lot of problems but I'm still really enjoying it! I feel connected to main character (and Aiden) somehow, and it does look rather nice. It's just it isn't flawless of sorts.

I think I prefer Heavy Rain (mainly these bits Ethan had to do, has more impact) but this pretty come close, unless like I said it nosedives lot by the end.

Have you made it to the desert yet (mid-way)? That is the low point, diabolical. The last section is OK, I guess.
