True fact though, the yellow ranger was played by a man when in the suit as in the Japanese series the character was male.

As far as I remember there was nothing to flatten down in the series because all of the people in the costumes were Japanese men, not just the yellow ranger.

I want this to be good, I was, and in some ways still am, a huge Power Rangers fan but I have a sinking feeling this will be like the Transformers and Ninja Turtles movies. I shall keep alive a tiny glimmer of hope though.

There are also times when you can make out the Yellow Rangers schlong outline.

I believe they were all men apart from the pink ranger that was a girl. Although there appear to be differing opinions on that. What I didn't make very clear was that in the Japanese version the yellow ranger was a male and only the pink ranger was a girl which is why the yellow ranger suit didn't have a skirt.

That's right in Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger (the series the initial run of Mighty Morphing Power Rangers is based on) the Pink Ranger was the only girl and the Yellow Ranger was a guy. Not sure why they changed it in the West.

I massively disappointed by that. Looks awful. I was happy with the trailer and the possible tone of the film though but the megastore looks awful. I could accept it if it was supposed to be a bad guy that they would be fighting but that it.

Sometimes it seems like Hollywood just want to be different just because.

And it doesn't even look like it's 5 toys combining into one like the original toy.

This is another toy version of the Megazord, looks like that one is a cheaper one.

It does look considerably better but there's still nothing iconic about it like the original.

I was a huge power rangers fan growing up and have always maintained an interest in the original stuff and I like it, yes its all a bit 'teen angsty' and clearly trying too hard to be dark and gritty but I don't really have too many issues with that.

Its a tiny improvement but its still not good. Its a big shame as I thought the casting was decent and while the tone the trailer implied wasnt classic Power Rangers I was prepared to accept they needed to change it. Modelling Megazord on Michael Bays transformers is a terrible idea however.

I thought it looked good. Although it did have a twilight and hunger games vibe about it, which isn't a good thing.

Yeah I was hoping they'd go for something more traditional looking. I think the original Megazord/Dragonzord designs are pretty iconic - the dinosaur imagery seems to have really been lost with this new film and I think that's a shame.

Could be worse though, could look like this :shifty:

Still a better Megazord than the other abomination.
