Looks like a big cringe-fest to me. Can't see it reviewing or performing well.

At least the Yellow Ranger would still have a dick that way though like in the original Power Rangers.

Yeah I'm not so sure it will review well, probably 5 or 6/10 sort of material. I'd imagine it would perform pretty well though, Power Rangers is still a hugely popular franchise. Probably not quite where it was at its peak in the 90's but a lot of kids still watch it, the toys still sell very well and they have a pretty large adult fan base too.

I'm not sure what to make of the trailer, as a big fan of the originals there are some things I really like but it does look quite generic and the horrible zord / suit design doesn't really help with that. I'm still planning on seeing it though.

Excellent  Love Twitch chat during these things. Whenever the Puttys are on screen it's just everyone typing "BLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLBL"

Has anyone seen it yet? I saw it yesterday, really enjoyed it.

Goldar was disappointing as I expected but Rita was scary as strawberry float for a 12A film. She would have made that a 15 certificate 20 years ago.

Just got back from watching it this evening and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Agreed on Goldar being a disappointment but it kind of worked for the film, even if it was a shame to see him presented as nothing more than a fighting machine. Rita was fantastic though, great performance from Banks and she was truly quite scary at times.

I didn't love a lot of the designs in the early footage and concept art I'd seen but on screen it all worked really well and the look has really grown on me. I thought they did a great job of mashing together a more modern Marvel-esque take on superhero films with the cheese and nostalgia of the original Power Rangers. It won't be for everyone but as someone who grew up loving MMPR it managed to be almost everything I wanted it to be!

Megazord was gooseberry fool, Goldar was gooseberry fool, the fight between them was pretty gooseberry fool, other than that is was decent enough. I too was surprised at how scary Rita was, she was genuinely unsettling in a couple of scenes but the rangers were good, Cranston as Zordon was good and I didnt hate Alpha 5 as much as I thought I would.
