I have a site which I run in my spare time - BigRedTech

Basically, I'm now looking for folk who would be interested in contributing to the site. Mainly, I'm looking for people who'd like to write articles for the main site. Obviously, there are a lot of people on here who have gaming blogs, which would be great, but I am also looking for people who would be able to provide content concerning computing, mobiles and other tech related stuff. The site will also hopefully have a big presence on tumblr etc, so people who are into producing gaming related art and things like that would be welcome. :)

It's a purely amateur venture which is done in my spare time, so it's absolutely a work in progress and I don't have large amounts of traffic, but I'm hoping to change that. I don't make any money from the site (in fact I have spent about £200 so far with a return of £4 in ad revenue so far ) so I can't pay anyone, but at the moment that isn't really the aim of the site and contributors are quite welcome to put their own paid links etc into their posts within reason.

I'd love to have some lovely GRcade people involved, so if you are interested, PMing me on here would probably be the easiest way to get in touch.

That's a really nice site.

Thanks, it's still a work in progress, but I'll have more time in the summer and will hopefully be able to really get it running :D

Right, after finishing my studies, I hope to dedicate more time to this. I've started by moving to a better host which has improved the performance of the site. I'm still looking for people who would be interested in contributing anything, primarily in the form of articles, reviews that sort of thing, but eventually I'd like to widen to podcasts, design, that kind of thing. I'm hoping it could become deeply linked with this site as the range of knowledge and views we have on here is great. If you run your own site or blog, you are welcome to promote it through articles etc on this site, in fact it is encouraged as my aim was to create a site where the best of content from ordinary folk from across the web could be collected.

If you are interested, or know of anyone who would or should be involved, let me know. :)

What's your traffic like at the moment?

Sometimes the mood takes me to write about something I'm messing with, and I'd be happy to submit it when I do.

Currently mucking around with my Android phone, building a PC and playing with a few things on iPad, so will let you know.

It's low at the moment as I have only really kicked it into gear in the last few days, meaning there isn't a steady flow of traffic, but when a new article is posted I usually get ~100 visitors a day. Obviously I'm hoping to build up a regular stream of content which will bring an increasing and steady amount of traffic. I'm reaching out to people to contribute as I think the best way of building an audience when starting out is to create links with other complimentary sites such as this one.

As soon as you want to put something together, drop me a message and I can create an account for you and obviously give you ideas about writing styles etc. :)
