I'm nearly at the end, I've loved it more than I can't remember. However I cannot for the life of me remember turning into a big daddy  I must have just blasted through it :fp:

Finished it

The last boss fight was the only thing I remembered and it was predictably toss. :dread:

But everything else was just amazing. The story was told so well. And the best analogy I can give it is that it's like a game version of the shining.

All alone gradually going mad, the isloation..I swear that some of the music was lifted straight from the film. Dat music too :datass:

So much better than I remember it. And I don't know why. Rapture is a great great setting for a video game.

Yep.

Because the first time I played it I did the opposite.

Bioshock 2 uses Games for Windows Live right? So would I already have Minerva's Den DLC on my PC version as I bought it already for the 360? Or will they ask me to buy it again on PC? Planning a PC replay soon you see.

No you would not, because Microsoft.

One of the few games I never managed to pirate successfully was Minerva's Den. Just couldn't find a working version.

Speaking of Minerva's Den, I'm really looking forward to those guys' next project, Gone Home. Looks goooood.

Minervas's Den wasn't released on the PC until about 2 years after it came out on the 360. God knows why.

So with this DLC. So I need to complete the second game first or is it a completely different story set in the world?

You don't need to complete the main Bioshock 2 game (although I just did and it's still a great game). It will be in the "Extras - Downloadable Content - Minerva's Den" section of the main menu. It's a completely self contained story set in a new section of Rapture, with you playing as a different character to Subject Delta.

Just started it

I enjoy the hacking more in 2. It doesn't become a chore.

The game can be a bit frustrating at times. I was backing away from three splicers who ambushed me, and I end up dead as a Big Daddy got enraged and smashed me right in the back because I went past close to a little Sister. :fp:

I don't think I would have the patience to play this on Hard difficulty. :slol:

I've just reached the Farmer's Market. It's from this point on (until that Ryan/Atlas twist) that I don't remember anything about this game anymore.

The hacking is a bit of a chore after doing it for 200th time. It's not very difficult, just very dull.

Once I've finished it, I don't think I'll bother replaying it for a very long time. I may just leave BioShock 2 (as I plan to play that as soon I've finished this.) so I don't feel burned out.

Don't play Bioshock 2 straight after. I made that mistake, and I think I have just about stalled. It gets boring, because it has exactly the same gameplay/environments.

Yeah, that's the plan.

I've got a lot of games left unplayed. I've decided to not buy any more games until I've cleared most of those. BioShock 2 is at the bottom of the list. By the time I've done that, BioShock Infinite would be very cheap.

Not easy considering I've got PS Plus, and there's tons of PS3 games I haven't touched from that. :dread:

Bulletstorm, Just Cause 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Okami HD, Mass Effect 3, etc. And I have the entire Hitman/Tomb Raider HD collections and its recent releases untouched.

This was my main problem with 2 I think. I played BS1 to death and 2 didn't really do anything all that different. Still a great game, but nowhere near as revelatory as the first.

If anyone is looking to play Minervas Den, for gods sake, just pirate the game. Games for Windows live is atrocious, forces you to be online to access the DLC, locks off access to your saves if you don't log into GFWL, regularly fails to even sign into gfwl despite being online.

It's a strawberry floating mess and they don't deserve your money. Pirate it.
