I finished Bioshock 2. Wonderful game, and I will probably buy the DLC.

But I don't get it, I think I got the good ending.

What a bitch. She made me save her, only to kill me? Is she in Bioshock 3? What happened to the mother? I want answers.

She didn't kill you. When Sophia Lamb suffocated Elanor and momentarily stopped her heart it broke the bond, which ended up slowly killing Delta. All is explained here -

My internet is going too slow to download a podcast, (it has been raining) otherwise I would.
What a strawberry floating tricksy little devil. She told me that she had to get me out of rapture to save me, and that she wouldn't lose me again. She then stabbed me with her infected needle, and threw my doll away in the water.

Are you sure you got the good ending? The good ending -
You are dying, because of the broken bond between you (Delta) & Elanor. If you saved the little Sisters, Grace, Stanly and Gil then Elanor will save Sophia from drowning. Because Elanore has successfully achieved Unity with the gene memory of ADAM she is able to remove your very "essence" (memories and genetic imprint) as you die and insert it into herself. As long as she lives you will always be with her, so she doesn't need the Doll anymore.
That's was the whole message of the game. It's Collectivism.

Yes I got that ending. (Although those people weren't there, I only saved the black woman. So the big sister just saved the mother.)
Collectivism  Sounds like an excuse.

At the end of Fort Frolic when my 360 crashed. I turned it off, went to restart Bioshock and got this:

Bioshock failed to load saved game. The downloadable content required by this game is missing.

I've tried googling, and some people have said it's a corrupt save, but I have 4 save files, 2 I was alternating between, an auto save from 2 hours before, and my original save file from when I completed the game 4 years ago and they all give this message. I thought it was more likely the DLC had got buggered up, but I deleted it and re-downaloded and still get the same. I'm going to be so gutted if I can't get my saves back, not sure I want to go through it all again. I'd rescued every little sister possible so far, so had received the 3 gifts of Adam from the woman :(

It cuts my Broadband off totally, not really sure why though.

Baffling. Just don't get the new Xbox then if the "online all the time" is true. :slol:

I got my save working again. Not sure how. I cleared the cache, deleted the DLC, and then downloaded the updates and DLC again. I'd done the same on saturday and it hadn't worked, but this time it did.

I just finished the bit in Ryan's office. I was surprised at how little of those revelations I actually remembered. I knew that Atlas had been stringing you along and was the bad guy, but I'd forgotten about the mind control experiment, and that he was actually Fontaine.

Some of the visuals in this game still make my jaw drop. It's hard to believe it's almost 6 years old. The enemies beyond Fort Frolic are a little too tough for my liking though. Not tough as in smart, but just the amount of health they have, and the ammo needed to finish them off. It's starting to feel a little too game-like, where as before, when it would take some fire and a couple of shots to kill them, it felt a lot more satisfying, and in a weird way, a lot more violent.

Your trying using different ammo types right?

I was the same. Literally remembered next to nothing about the end game. Apart from the gooseberry fool ending.

The setting and sense of a world in Bioshock 1 is amazing. It's the art style, the sounds, the music, the voices, and the history that you're fed.

I absolutely love Bioshock for that.

Fuuuuuuuuck! Can't load any saves again, getting the missing DLC message. Deleting the DLC, clearing the cache and re-downloading wouldn't fix it on saturday, did fix it sunday, and now won't again. This is so going to make my memories of this game a little more bitter if it continues.
