That was one of the main things that put me off Infinite. I think the writers thought they were being really clever but it ended up being pretty cringeworthy for the most part. Reviewers were fawning over it acting like the story was much deeper and important than it actually was.

All 3 of them were great. Bioshock 1 went down the shitter a bit after the reveal.

Never played any of them, so a bit of a treat for me if true! 1080p/ 60fps or I'm out.

I didn't play Infinite until a good year after release, by which point popular opinion had shifted toward it being vastly overrated, so in the end I actually enjoyed it quite a bit as expectations were fairly low.

Either way, unless you are truly certain that your game is 100% genius you really shouldn't give it a title where the most obvious portmanteau is "Bioshite" :D

You'd be missing out on one of the greatest games ever made man.

Having a story based on concepts from theoretical physics was ballsy, actually pulling it off was remarkable. It might not be for everyone but for a 'triple A' game to take inspiration from Schrödinger and Everett rather than Clancy and Patterson is a big step for video game story telling.

I like Infinite retrospectively, I loved the first 3-5 hours but then it got very confusing and some of the bosses were terribly designed. The world wasn't as believable as rapture and that hurt it a lot BUT its ending is stunning and mind bending. With that in mind I can't wait to play it again to look out for more clues to clarify what that ending meant, theories abound but nobody really knows.

I remember having long email chats with a friend about the story. That is one aspect I definitely enjoyed.
