The LG OLED 55B7V 55" 4K TV is £1529.10 at Amazon (with 5 year guarantee): https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-OLED55B7V-P ... 5febb9d10f

or £1,499 from Crampton and Moore (who I'm not familiar with, but also has the 5 years) http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/lg-ol ... =affiliate

It's £1,699 at Curry's, who will now price match Amazon, and will also give you £400 back if you also buy a select soundbar and purchase with broadband and TV.

It's also £1,699 at John Lewis.

Not bad for what is widely regarded as the best picture quality of 2017.

Alternatively, the LG OLED 65'' E7V 4K TV and soundbar is £3,199 (£800 off needs to be claimed separately via redemption and runs through until December): https://www.johnlewis.com/lg-oled65e7v- ... r/p3186073. Bear in mind the TV in terms of the picture is nigh on identical to the B7.

Despite this being cheaper than the Sony OLED I was looking at, I just can't bring myself to buy another LG product after my past experiences with them :(

The echo dot is obviously matching the Google Home Mini and vice versa, in case anyone was interested in that.

If it's any consolation, the life span of these OLED TVs isn't looking too clever at the moment when placed against a more conventional LCD panel...

Screen size, OLED vs LCD (OLED being the latest technology), build quality, brand new sound (emanates from the screen itself on the OLED), HDR capabilities, motion handling (i.e. for fast moving sport or panning shots). The gulf in picture quality between the two is substantial.

The better comparison to make would be between a base LG OLED and the Sony OLED, of which there is most certainly not £1,300 worth of difference between the two.

Is there a big difference between the high range LCD and OLED panels? The issue I keep hearing about the OLED is the burn in and there’s very few of them as it’s harder to make.

The burn-in issues with current OLED tech is really holding me back from buying one.

I am starting to reconsider holding off until next years Sony OLED model to see if they maybe work some of the bugs out. With Sony and Panasonic both entering the OLED market this year I'd be hopeful that increased competition means next years models might show some significant improvement.

It's now sold out unfortunately, but in the deal of Black Friday the LG E7 55" 4K OLED TV was reduced to £1,499 at Crampton and Moore: http://www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/lg-ol ... ed-tv.html

John Lewis do price match the store though, so may be worth trying.

If you've got a Hughes store near by, the LG OLED 55'' E7 is now also £1,499 there too (currently £2,499 online). 0371 2313 113 of you want to check over the phone.
